Calligraphy and poetry are the quintessence of Chinese culture. Since ancient times, they always have been combined with each other. The beauty of Chinese characters is a combination of phonology, implication and form. The purpose of this course is to let students experience the artistic conception of ancient Chinese poetry by observing the shape and line beauty of ancient poetry.
