In this class we'll at first study the contemporary Chinese language——Putonghua（Mandarin）. We'll learn it from three aspects: pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. As one of the working languages of the United Unions, Putonghua has become an important bridge for cultural exchanges and the preferred language for foreigners to learn Chinese. Then, the lecturer will introduce the Chinese phonetic system, dialect, idioms, set phrase, folk adage, locution, allegorical sayings, and internet buzzword. Next we'll study the second part--contemporary Chinese culture. The content includes the interpretation of contemporary Chinese life, the rapidly developing network culture, globalization and cultural exchange between China and foreign countries, Confucius Institute, education in China, the Belt and Road Initiative, and Win-win cooperation.
