Calligraphy is one of the forms of Chinese excellent traditional culture, which has been loved by the Chinese people for thousands of years. It also has wide influence in Asia and even in the world. In China, all the people who have been educated can write Chinese characters, but not all the Chinese characters written by people can be called calligraphy. Walking in the streets of China, we can also see all kinds of Chinese characters. Similarly, these Chinese characters are not all calligraphy. Calligraphy is not only the rule of writing Chinese characters, but also a unique ancient art in China. Learning calligraphy can help us better understand Chinese culture, Chinese people and their life. This course will explain the concept of Chinese calligraphy, the relationship between calligraphy and Chinese culture, and introduce the most basic materials and tools needed for calligraphy learning, as well as the precautions for purchasing. In the second half of the course, the teacher will use two cameras to provide two perspectives for students to demonstrate the basic strokes of Chinese characters and teach the students writing skills and key points. At the end of the course, the teacher will lead the students to complete a complete calligraphy work.
