China, the homeland of tea, has a history of tea cultivation and tasting for thousands of years. Chinese tea culture contains the unique aesthetic experience and humanistic spirit of the Chinese people. This lecture introduces the history of Chinese tea culture and the classification of the six contemporary tea types, takes students to the tea house where they learn about the contemporary method of brewing tea in a lidded bowl and the Song Dynasty (960-1279AD) method of whisking tea.
