1Starting with the initial stage of Chinese ink animation, the course will introduce us two Chinese ink animations that are vital roles in history of Chinese animation: Tadpole’s Mummy and Mu Di. Ink and wash animation is a unique form of animation derived from traditional Chinese painting. We can not only understand the creation of ink animation in the 1960s and 1980s, but also see how contemporary creators wield 3D technique to creative works. Ink painting shows the artisan spirit of the Chinese animation industry. It expresses the Chinese People’s aesthetic interest in pursuing the great artistic conception and loving the idyllic charm.
