As an ancient traditional art and a plastic art of Chinese characters, Chinese Calligraphy is the unique visual image art of Chinese characters. This course will introduce the basic knowledge of Chinese Calligraphy in four aspects, i.e., evolution of Chinese characters, calligraphy supplies, elements of the art of calligraphy, and basic techniques of calligraphy. Students can enrich their knowledge, cultivate the sense of art appreciation and experience the profoundness of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
