The Spring Festival is the most glorious traditional festival in China. During the period of festival, all places across the country will hold various activities to celebrate, mainly including sacrificing to ancestral gods, ancestors, welcoming good fortune and praying for a good year. This course will take you to different provinces and cities and different ethnic regions in China. It will present various Chinese New Year customs and Chinese New Year music in the north and south of China through the videos and lectures. Students can be more intuitive to know Chinese folk music, and thus have a more intuitive experience of the Chinese New Year.
