Traditional Chinese opera has a long history. Kun Opera, or Kunqu, which boasts a history of over 600 years, is reputed as the mother of operas. Its elegance overwhelms its audiences. In 2001, Kun Opera was listed among the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Body movement is the core of opera performance, we are honored to have Lvjie Geng with us. She is a member of China Theatre Association, National Class-B Performer, She will teach foreign friends about the movements in Kun Opera. The inheritance and innovation of opera is of great importance. Hangzhou Jinxiu Yucai Education Group is a special school which devoted to passing on Kun opera art. Since 2017, it has built close cooperation with Zhejiang Beijing Opera and Kun Opera Art Theatre, The creation of Kunqu gymnastics is one of their latest attempts to mingle the gestures of Kun Opera into gymnastics.
