Wuqinxi (Five-animal Exercises), as one of the courses of “Chinese on the Cloud” Online Cultural Activities Program of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, lasts for about one hour. It is one technique of health Qigong exercises, inherited and designed by famous doctor Huatuo in eastern Han dynasty, the whole exercises are based on bionics and Chinese medicine, modeling the movement of such five animals as tigers, deers, bears, apes and birds. The motions emulate tigers’ ferocity, deer’s easiness, bears’ stability, apes’ flexibility, and birds’ lightness. Wuqinxi is suitable for different genders and all ages. Long term exercises would improve cardiovascular function, respiratory function, joint flexibility, and improve mental health as well. This course is composed of basic motions, detailed motions and full demonstration of Wuqinxi.

《健身气功·五禽戏》是新疆财经大学“云上中国”线上文化活动项目课程之一,时长1小时左右。五禽戏,相传是我国东汉时期,著名医学家,华佗根据前人史料所创编,整套功法以仿生学,中医学为基础,分别效仿虎、鹿、熊、猿、鸟五个动物,效仿虎之威猛,鹿之安舒,熊之沉稳,猿之灵巧,鸟之轻盈。适合不同类型人群练习,长期锻炼可使心血管机能、呼吸机能、关节灵活性都有明显改善,心理健康水平也会有所提高。本课程分为基本动作教学、每式动作精讲、完整演示三个部分。
