As one of the Chinese unique and important national musical instruments, the Zither has a history over 2,500 years. In ancient times, Zither music was deeply loved by people from all walks of life. It is an art appreciated by both refined and popular tastes. Zither players ranged from emperors and generals to ordinary people, especially the literati, who incorporated the art of Zither into poems and songs. This course aims at introducing this ancient traditional Chinese instrument to the Belarusian students. The Zither Appreciation Course of "Chinese Bridge" Online Winter Camp for Belarusian Students is divided into two lectures. In the first lecture, the lecturer will introduce several traditional Chinese musical instruments to the students, lead the students to appreciate famous folk songs, and explain the construction and basic playing skills of Zither. In the second lecture, the lecturer will introduce and play two famous Zither songs live, and the last part is to enjoy several Zither songs of different styles with the students, so that the students could have a comprehensive understanding of the rich expressive power of Zither.
