Chinese calligraphy is the peculiar traditional art in Chinese characters. This course will give a brief introduction to the historic development of calligraphy and its writing styles. The students are also required to learn basic writing skills so that they will be able to master several basic calligraphy strokes, write the Chinese character “仁(benevolence)”, deepen their cognition of Chinese characters, as well as cultivate their basic calligraphy quality and aesthetic taste.
