海底沉船与海上丝绸之路
Course Syllabus 课程章节
2Historically speaking, Maritime Silkroad, which flourished during the 9th to 15th centuries, was an important venue for cultural exchanges between China and the world. This vast network, extending all the way from China to Africa, carried more than just merchandise and precious commodities; it facilitated the transmission of knowledge, ideas, cultures and beliefs, which had a profound impact on the civilizations of the world. By investigating recently salvaged shipwrecks, such as Nanhai No. 1 and Blackstone, and by exploring the famous archaeological site in Egypt, Fostat, and the legacy of Maritime Silkroad in China, this lecture will reveal the long-existing and fascinating cultural ties between China and the world.
