This class will showcase traditional Chinese instrumental music and explain the beauty of famous traditional instrumental music pieces with lively class performance. The lecturer will introduce a basic question, the difference between Chinese music and Western music, to explain Chinese people's concept behind the word Yue（music）. She will also illustrate different types of Musical Instruments with the clue of "eight tones" in ancient China. Finally, the lecturer takes guzheng to demonstrate the traditional music of different regional styles presented in contemporary folk music.
