The course features a combination between Chinese festivals and cross-cultural communication，which continues the enhancement in the training of basic communication skills and improving the cultural accomplishment and literacy among the students. By introducing some festivals-based learning materials and organizing audio-visual materials related to the festivals, it aims to provide an access to China. This is believed to help to arouse their awareness of cross-cultural communication and meet the needs of international exchanges. The course takes a pedagogical approach combining listening, watching and discussion.
