Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM is a medical system whose origins go back at least 3,000 years. Traditional Chinese Medicine is an indispensable part of Chinese culture. It has made great contributions to the prosperity of China and the development of global medical career. TCM, with its unique diagnostic methods, long history and remarkable effects, have been used to treat serious diseases, such as Covid-19. This lesson aims to introduce the brief history of TCM, the theory of Yin and Yang, the theory of the five Elements of TCM and therapies such as cupping, acupuncture and massage. In the practice session, several Chinese herbs were introduced to make mosquito repellent perfume sachets, and the connection between hand acupoints and human organs was explained. A set of hand health massage exercises was also taught.
