This course is about the ethnic groups and folklore in China. For the part on ethnic groups, this course introduces the overall geographical distribution, history, language and religious beliefs of different ethnic groups. For the part on folklore, the course first introduces the geographic and ethnic characters of Chinese folklore, and then explains the characters through the clothing, food, housing, festival and entertainment of different ethnic groups like Han, Tibetan, Mongolian, Zhuang and Miao. Through this course, students are expected to have a basic knowledge on Chinese ethnic groups and folklores, and gain general understanding of the diversity，interconnection and integration of the ethnic groups and Folklore in China.
