李繁杰公使出席2025年“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛澳大利亚赛区决赛暨颁奖仪式

5月31日，第18届“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛澳大利亚赛区决赛暨颁奖仪式在墨尔本成功举办。中国驻澳大利亚使馆李繁杰公使出席活动并致辞。驻墨尔本总领事房新文、澳联邦国际教育助理部长希尔、维多利亚州多元文化专员秘书穆希丁、白马市市长达文波特、蒙纳士市议员罗丹等嘉宾以及参赛评委、选手、老师、家长百余人出席活动，近万人通过直播平台观看比赛。 

李公使在致辞中首先代表中国驻澳大利亚大使馆及肖千大使，对本次比赛的顺利举办表示热烈祝贺。他表示，“汉语桥”不仅是语言比赛，更是促进文化交流的桥梁。希望同学们努力学好中文，到中国去看看、走走，了解新时代发展中的中国，为促进中澳友好贡献自己的力量。来自全澳的14名选手通过笔试、演讲、才艺展示进行激烈角逐。李公使等嘉宾为优胜者进行了颁奖。

Minister Li Fanjie Attended 2025 “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students – Australia Finals and Award CeremonyOn May 31, the Australia Finals and Award Ceremony of the 18th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students were successfully held in Melbourne. Minister Li Fanjie from the Chinese Embassy in Australia attended the event and delivered a speech.

The event was also attended by Consul General Fang Xinwen of the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne, Australian Assistant Minister for International Education Julian Hill, Secretary of the Multicultural Affairs of Victoria Mohamed Muhideen, Mayor of Whitehorse Council Andrew Daveports, and Monash City Councillor Nicky Luo, along with judges, contestants, teachers, and parents—more than 100 guests in total. Nearly 10,000 people watched the event via live stream.

In his speech, Minister Li first extended warm congratulations on the successful holding of the competition on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Australia and Ambassador Xiao Qian. He stated that the "Chinese Bridge" is not only a language competition, but also a bridge that promotes cultural exchange. He expressed his hope that the students will continue to work hard in learning Chinese, visit China to see and experience it for themselves, gain a deeper understanding of the country in its new era of development, and contribute to the friendship between China and Australia.

Fourteen contestants from across Australia competed in a written test, speech, and talent performance, showcasing their language skills and cultural understanding in a highly competitive setting. Minister Li and other distinguished guests presented awards to the winners and extended their best wishes for their upcoming participation in the global finals in China, expressing hope that they would achieve outstanding results.
