第16届“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛正式启动

而作为世界范围内的汉语比赛,也是一个让更多学习汉语的中学生展示自己的平台,第十六届“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛举行在即。

作为一项以汉语学习和文化交流为主要内容的比赛,“汉语桥”已经成为世界范围内汉语学习者的重要赛事之一。

第十六届“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛澳大利亚使馆赛区预赛决赛正式启动,有关活动细则如下:

01 赛事背景

西澳澳中友好协会(“西澳澳中友协”)成立于1970年,在增加西澳与中国人民相互了解和推动双方友好交流合作等方面发挥了积极作用。

2021年,西澳澳中友协建立了中文图书馆,旨在推广和传播中华文化,并为西澳本地的中文爱好者们提供优质中文教材和广泛的中文阅读资料。此外,西澳澳中友协为了鼓励本地和有华裔背景的在校学生学习中文,设立了中文学生奖,并成功举办了五届中文学生奖颁奖典礼。

2023年是西澳澳中友协中文图书馆首次承办“汉语桥”世界中学生澳大利亚使馆赛区预赛中文比赛。作为大力支持海外中文教育推广的非盈利机构,西澳澳中友协见证了“汉语桥”比赛自开展以来,澳大利亚使馆区的学生们日益增长的汉语学习热情,因此,西澳澳中友协将会以此次活动为契机,更积极地推广本地汉语学习工作。

每年澳中友协全会与上海市对外人民友好协会联合举办澳大利亚中学生赴上海参加夏令营活动,增进澳大利亚中学生与中国学生友好交往,实地了解中国文化。

今年西澳澳中友协中文图书馆将承办第十六届“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛澳大利亚使馆赛区预赛。本次比赛将于线下举行。共计将评选出三名参赛者代表使馆区参加全澳赛区决赛。

02 比赛目的

为本地学习中文的青少年学生提供一个展示中文能力的舞台,打造互相学习和交流的平台,激励其学习中文的热情和兴趣,增进其对中文和中华文化的理解。

05 参赛对象要求

· 年龄14岁至18岁

· 非中国国籍

· 在国外成长

· 本人及其父母非华裔、母语为非华语的澳大利亚在校中学生

· 上届全球决赛选手原则上不可连续两届参加比赛。

06 比赛内容

(一)主题演讲 (2~3分钟)

选手围绕“追梦中文,不负韶华”这个主题事先准备一篇两分钟左右短文,现场演讲。

(二)中文和中国国情知识问答(每位选手回答5道题)

(三)才艺展示 (3分钟)

选手可从中国歌曲、民族乐器、戏曲、朗诵、书法、绘画、武术等项目中自行选择一项进行才艺表演。

07 具体安排

(一)报名选拔

由学校自行组织选拔推荐1~2名选手参赛,并明确汉语指导教师。

请各位指导老师确定参赛人选后与组委会联系,由组委会统一发放推荐报名表。

请在2023年 5月 2日前将参赛报名表发送到报名邮箱(admin@acfswa.org.au)。同时,请每位参赛选手自行准备才艺表演的背景音乐,并将音频文件在2023年 5月21日前上传至报名邮箱。音频文件格式为姓名+背景音乐名称。

参赛选手视频录制:

目的:用于在网络平台进行赛事宣传和选手拉票。

关于最佳人气选手的投票:联合承办方Most WA会为每位参赛选手录制个人介绍及才艺展示的视频,该视频会发布在TikTok,Instagram及Facebook等社交平台,通过浏览量及点赞数统计出本次比赛选手中的人气之星,获得人气之星称号的选手会在比赛当天被授予奖状及礼品。参赛选手如有以上的社交平台账号,请在视频拍摄当天提供给联合承办方Most WA,Most WA会在发布视频时提到相关账号。

1、西澳地区报名选手的视频录制:

(1)录制时间5月5日~5月7日

视频录制场地:西澳澳中友协中文图书馆(Unit 1/3-5 Bennett Street, East Perth)

(2)录制视频内容要求:时长为1~2分钟,包括选手的自我介绍和自选形式进行的中文及中华文化技能展示

2、首都地区和北领地地区报名选手的视频录制:

以上地区的学校自行录制,录制格式要求

竖屏录制,长宽比9:16; 像素不低于1080P; 文件大小小于1G;格式MP4

(二)比赛时间:2023年5月28日10:00am

(三)比赛地点:待定

(四)比赛流程

1. 主题演讲(每人2~3分钟)

2. 问答(5道题,中国国情部分1题,文化部分2题,汉语知识部分1题)

3. 才艺表演(每人3分钟左右)

08 比赛评分办法

组委会将邀请中外专家组成评委会,对选手的现场演讲、问答与才艺展示打分。比赛三个部分分值所占比例各为40%、30%和30%。

09 比赛奖项及奖励

一等奖:一名,奖金$200/人

二等奖:二名,奖金$100/人

三等奖:三名

优秀奖:全部参赛选手

才艺奖:五名

最佳人气奖:一名

所有参赛人员都将颁发证书、奖品及礼品。

组委会将向获得一、二、三等奖选手的所属学校颁发最佳组织奖,同时向其他参赛选手的所在学校颁发优秀组织奖。

最佳人气奖:5月10日开始在各平台发出选手视频,5月22日截止统计点赞数和观看量。

10 全球决赛阶段

第十六届“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛全澳赛区决赛将于2023年6月初在布里斯班举办,全球决赛拟定于2023年8-9月在中国举行。

奖项和奖励办法

(一)奖项

个人总冠军1名,洲冠军5名,一等奖5名,二等奖5名,三等奖15名;单项奖5名;其他参赛选手获优秀奖。

(二)奖励办法

1.总冠军:获来华攻读学位课程的国际中文教师奖学金和一次往返国际机票,并被授予“汉语大使”和“中文之星”称号;

2.洲冠军:获来华攻读学位课程的国际中文教师奖学金和一次往返国际机票,并被授予“汉语大使”称号;

3.一等奖:获来华攻读学位课程的国际中文教师奖学金和一次往返国际机票,并被授予“汉语大使”称号;

4.二等奖:获一学年来华进修汉语的国际中文教师奖学金和一次往返国际机票;

5.三等奖:获一学期来华进修汉语的国际中文教师奖学金和一次往返国际机票;

6.单项奖:获一学期来华进修汉语的国际中文教师奖学金和一次往返国际机票;

7.优秀奖:获一学期来华进修汉语的国际中文教师奖学金。

以上奖项、奖励由中外语言交流合作中心提供,奖学金注册使用的有效期为3年(2024年至2026年)。获不同奖项的同一获奖者只可使用一种奖学金。

Instruction for the 16th Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency

Competition for Australian Secondary School Students

(Embassy Division)

The 16th Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students (Chinese Embassy Division) is officially launched by Australia-China Friendship Society Western Australia ("ACFSWA") Chinese Library. The details of the competition are as follows.

1. Background

The Australia-China Friendship Society Western Australia ("ACFSWA") was established in 1970 and has played an active role in increasing mutual understanding between Western Australia and the Chinese people and promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

In 2021, ACFSWA established a Chinese library to promote Chinese culture and provide high-quality Chinese teaching materials and a wide range of Chinese reading materials for local Chinese lovers in Western Australia. In addition, the Society established the Student Award to encourage local students at school to learn Chinese and successfully held five Student Award competitions.

2023 will be the first time that ACFSWA Chinese Library will host the Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Secondary School Students worldwide. As a non-profit organization that vigorously supports the promotion of overseas Chinese education, ACFSWA has witnessed the growing enthusiasm of students in Australia to learn Chinese since the Chinese Bridge competition was launched. Therefore, ACFSWA Chinese Library will take this event as an opportunity to encourage more local students to learn Chinese.

Every year, the Australia-China Friendship Society National and the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries jointly organize Australian high school students to participate in summer camps in Shanghai to enhance friendly exchanges between Australian high school students and Chinese students and to understand Chinese culture on the spot.

This year, ACFSWA Chinese Library will host the final of the 16th Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students. A total of three contestants will be selected to represent the Embassy division in the National finals.

2. Purpose of the competition

Provide a stage for local young students learning Chinese to demonstrate their Chinese ability, create a platform for mutual learning and communication, stimulate their enthusiasm and interest in learning Chinese, and enhance their understanding of Chinese and Chinese culture.

5. Requirements for contestants

· Age 14 to 18

· Non-Chinese nationality

· Growing up in Australia

· The contestants and their parents are non-Chinese-speaking Australian

· The last global finalists cannot participate in the competition for two consecutive sessions.

6. Competition content

(1)Themed Speech (2~3 minutes)

Contestants prepare a short essay of about two minutes around the theme of "Fly High with Chinese" and give a speech.

(2)Questions and answers on Chinese culture (each contestant answers 5 questions)

Questions from previous competitions can be downloaded from the competition's official website: bridge.chinese.cn

(3)Talent show (3 minutes)

Contestants can choose one of the Chinese songs, folk musical instruments, opera, recitation, calligraphy, painting, martial arts and other items for the talent show.

7. Specific Arrangements

(1)Registration and selection

The school organizes the selection, recommends 1-2 contestants to participate in the competition, and specifies the Chinese language instructor.

All instructors are requested to contact the organizing committee after confirming the candidates for the competition, and the organizing committee will uniformly issue the recommendation registration form.

Please send the registration form to the registration email (admin@acfswa.org.au) before2nd May 2023. At the same time, each contestant is required to prepare the background music for the talent show by themselves and upload the audio file to the registration email before 21st May 2023. The audio file format is name + background music name.

Contestant video recording for promotion purposes:

Purpose: Used for event promotion and contestant canvassing on the online platform.

Voting for the most popular contestant: The co-organizer Most WA will record a video of personal introduction and talent show for each contestant. The video will be posted on social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, and will be counted based on the number of views and likes. The contestants who won the title of popular star will be awarded certificates and gifts on the day of the competition. If contestants have the above social platform accounts, please provide them to the co-organizer Most WA on the day of video shooting, and Most WA will mention the relevant accounts when releasing the video.

Requirements for recording video content: 1-2 minutes in length, including the self-introduction of the contestants and the display of Chinese and Chinese cultural skills in a self-selected form.

1.Video recording of contestants registered in Western Australia:

a.Recording time: 5th May – 7th May 2023

b.Recording venue: ACFSWA Chinese Library

Unit 1/3-5 Bennett Street, East Perth

2.Video recording of contestants registered in Canberra, and Northern Territory:

Schools in the above areas record themselves, and the recording format is required as follows:

· Vertical screen recording

· Aspect ratio 9:16

· Pixel not less than 1080P

· File size less than 1G

· MP4 format

(2)Competition date: 28th May 2023, 10:00 am

(3)Venue: TBC

(4)Competition process

a.Themed speech (2~3 minutes per person)

b.Questions and answers (5 questions, 1 question for China's national condition, 2 questions for culture, and 1 question for Chinese language knowledge)

c.Talent show (about 3 minutes per person)

8. Scoring

The organizing committee will invite Chinese and local experts to form a jury to score the contestants' speeches, questions and answers, and talent shows. The proportions of the three parts of the competition are 40%, 30% and 30% respectively.

9. Competition Awards

First place: 1 contestant

Second place: 2 contestants

Third place: 3 contestants

Excellence Award: All contestants

Talent Award: 5 contestants

The Most Popular Award: 1 contestant

All participants will be awarded certificates, prizes and gifts

Additional award for First place contestant: $200/person

Additional award for Second place contestants: $100/person

The organizing committee will award the Best Organization Award to the schools of the first, second and third prize winners, and the Excellent Organization Award to the schools of other contestants.

The Most Popular contestant: videos will be released on social media platforms from 12th May 2023, and the number of likes and views will be counted on 24th May 2023.

10. Global final

The National finals of the 16th Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students will be held in early June 2023, and the global finals will be held in China from August to September 2023.

Awards and Incentives

(1) Awards

1 final champion, 5 continental champions, 5 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 15 third prizes; 5 individual awards; other contestants won excellence awards.

(2) Reward measures

1. Final Champion: Scholarship for International Chinese Teachers who study degree programs in China and a round-trip international air ticket and awarded the titles of "Chinese Ambassador" and "Chinese Star”.

2. Continental Champion: Awarded scholarship for international Chinese language teachers who come to China to study for a degree program, one round-trip international air ticket, and awarded the title of "Chinese Ambassador”.

3. First prize: Scholarship for international Chinese teachers who come to China to study degree courses, one round-trip international air ticket, and the title of "Chinese Ambassador”.

4. Second prize: scholarship for international Chinese teachers who will study Chinese in China for one academic year and a round-trip international air ticket.

5. Third prize: Scholarship for international Chinese teachers who come to China to study Chinese for one semester and a round-trip international air ticket.

6. Individual award: a scholarship for international Chinese teachers who come to China to study Chinese for one semester and a round-trip international air ticket.

7. Excellence Award: Scholarship for international Chinese teachers who come to China to study Chinese for one semester.

The above awards and rewards are provided by Centre for Language Education and Cooperation

, and the scholarship registration is valid for 3 years (2024 to 2026). The same winner who has won different awards can only use one kind of scholarship.
