Hebei Vocational University of Technology and Engineering, referred to as "Hebei University of Science and Technology", is affiliated to the Hebei Provincial People's Government. The school is a full-time undergraduate university focusing on engineering, and a pilot school for undergraduate vocational education established by the country in the new era. The school is located in Xingtai City of Hebei Province, which is a famous provincial historical and cultural city in Hebei, a national garden city, a node city in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, an advanced manufacturing base and a logistics hub in central and southern Hebei. Xingtai is the ancient capital of the Five Dynasties and the hometown of Guo Shoujing, a scientist in the Yuan Dynasty. It has profound cultural heritage, beautiful environment, convenient transportation and developed information. The university has 16 undergraduate majors such as New Energy Vehicle Engineering Technology, Clothing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing and Automation, and 50 specialized majors such as Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Technology, Electrical Automation Technology, and Industrial Robotics Technology. In 2019, the school became a professional group construction unit of dual-high schools. In 2021, merged with the School of Science and Technology of North China Electric Power University, it has been upgraded to vocational university, and was renamed as Hebei Vocational University of Technology and Engineering.
