Shaanxi Province, abbreviated as "Shan" or "Qin", is located in the hinterland of China, the middle reaches of the Yellow River, the foot of the Qinling Mountain. The provincial capital is Xi'an. Shaanxi has a long history and is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization. It served as the capital city in history for 14 dynasties, including Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang. There are nine world heritages in Shaanxi Province, including the Great Wall, the Terra Cotta Warriors of the First Emperor of Qin Dynasty, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, the Xingjiao Temple Tower, the Daming Palace, the Weiyang palace, the Dafo Temple Grottoes in Binxian County, and the Tomb of Zhang Qian.
