Harbin University of Science and Technology, located in Harbin, is jointly constructed by People's Government of Heilongjiang Province and State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence. The university has been selected for the“Central and Western Basic Capacity-building Project”, the national “Key Discipline Project”, the Ministry of Education's “Excellent Engineer Education Program”, and the Ministry of Education's “National Innovative Experimental Program for College Students”. It has been granted by admitting foreign students to study in China under Chinese Government Scholarship, and been included in the national “New Engineering Research and Practice Program”. The university is also accredited as Heilongjiang's “First-class” university, and is among the first batch of universities in Heilongjiang demonstrating ideological and political education. In addition, it is member of CDIO Engineering Education Association.
