Established in 1956，Hebei University of Chinese Medicine is one of the earliest established higher education institutions for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the People’s Republic of China. It is the Joint Building University by Hebei Government and National Administration of TCM, Key University in Hebei Province, “Double First Class”Project University in Hebei Province, Doctoral Degree Awarding University, Reform Pilot University for Excellent Doctor (TCM) Education Program of Ministry of education, “5+3”Integrated Training University of TCM Major. And it has the qualification of recommending excellent fresh graduates to study for master’s degree without exam. The University has three campuses, Xingyuan, Juquan and Qizhou. There are 12 schools in the university. The university owns 2 affiliated hospitals, 1 academy of TCM science, 21 non-directly affiliated hospitals, 40 teaching hospitals. It has the education of undergraduate, postgraduate, international student and continuing. There are 9620 full-time students, including 8499 undergraduates, 984 master’s candidates and 137 doctoral candidates. And more than 3000 faculties and 800 full-time teachers work for this university. The university insists on opening to the outside world and is one of the earliest universities to carry out international exchanges and cooperation. It built the first Confucius Institute of Chinese Medicine in Latin America with Universidade Federal de Goiás, Brazil. And it has established friendly cooperative relations with 20 universities, medical research institutions and international organizations from more than 10 countries. The university has actively participated in the "One Belt and One Road" educational initiative and conducted academic exchanges with many countries including Republic of Korea, the United States, New Zealand and Brazil.
