Communication University of Zhejiang is a university jointly established by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and the State Administration of Radio and Television. It is a high-level media university with distinctive industry characteristics. The school has been running for more than 40 years since the establishment of Zhejiang Radio and Television School in 1978. There are currently two campuses : the Qiantang campus in Hangzhou and the Wuzhen campus in Tongxiang. It covers an area of 87 hectares, with a total construction area of 642,000 square meters. There are 16 secondary colleges (departments, centers) with more than 14,500 students and about 1,400 faculty members.

浙江传媒学院是浙江省人民政府和国家广播电视总局共建高校，是一所行业特色鲜明的高水平传媒类高校。学校从1978年创办浙江广播电视学校至今已有40余年办学历史。现有杭州钱塘和桐乡乌镇两个校区，占地1305亩，总建筑面积64.2万平方米。设有16个二级学院（部、中心），在校生14500余人，教职员工约1400人。

The University covers six disciplines: art, literature, engineering, education, management, and economics. Including 13 national first-class major construction sites, including Radio and Television, Digital Media Technology, Radio and Television Director, Film and Television Photography and Production, Broadcasting and Hosting Art, Animation, Photography, Communication, Drama, Film and Television Literature, etc. Ten provincial-level first-class major construction sites include Network and New Media, Art Design of Drama and Film, Music Performance, Recording Art, and Digital Media Art.

涵盖艺术学、文学、工学、教育学、管理学、经济学等6个学科门类，包括广播电视学、数字媒体技术、广播电视编导、影视摄影与制作、播音与主持艺术、动画、摄影、传播学、戏剧影视文学等13个国家级一流专业建设点，网络与新媒体、戏剧影视美术设计、音乐表演、录音艺术、数字媒体艺术等10个省级一流专业建设点。

The total value of university teaching equipment is about 375 million yuan. It has built the first 5G+4K e-sports comprehensive studio in Chinese universities, one national experimental teaching demonstration center, one State Administration of Radio and Television laboratory, one provincial key laboratory, seven provincial practical teaching demonstration centers, and one provincial experimental teaching demonstration center. The library has a total of 1.795 million paper books, 1.708 million electronic books, 1.24 million electronic journals, 8.94 million dissertations, and 97,101 hours of audio and video.

学校教学仪器设备总值约3.75亿元。建有国内高校首个5G+4K电竞综合演播室，国家级实验教学示范中心1个，国家广播电视总局实验室1个，省重点实验室1个，省级实验教学示范中心7个，省级虚拟仿真实验教学中心1个。图书馆馆藏纸本图书总量179.5万册，电子图书170.8万册，电子期刊124万册，学位论文894万册，音视频97101小时。

The university has carried out exchanges and cooperation with more than 110 universities in the United States, Britain, Germany, Japan, Australia, and other countries, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions. The university cooperates to hold undergraduate and master Sino-foreign cooperative education programs and collaborates with many universities such as the State University of New York at Stony Brook, the University of Missouri, and the University of New South Wales in Australia to carry out multi-level joint training projects. It is the Ministry of Education’s International Cultural Exchange and Media Talent Training Base, Country and Regional Research Center, Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland University Teachers and Students Exchange Program Project Unit, the China Scholarship Council’s Innovative Talent International Cooperation Training Project Implementation Unit. It is a project unit of the National and Regional Research Talent Support Program of the China Foundation for Foundation Studies, a project unit of the Ministry of Education’s Sino-foreign high-level university student exchange program, a member unit of the Zhejiang-Africa Higher Education Partnership Program in Zhejiang Province, and a Zhejiang Province-Taiwan Exchange Base.

学校与美国、英国、德国、日本、澳大利亚等国家及港澳台地区的110余所高校开展交流合作，是欧盟“伊拉斯谟”项目单位，与新西兰惠灵顿维多利亚大学、英国考文垂大学和博尔顿大学合作举办本硕中外合作办学项目，与美国纽约州立大学石溪分校、密苏里大学和澳大利亚新南威尔士大学等多所高校合作开展多层次的联合培养项目。学校是教育部国际人文交流与传媒人才培养基地、教育部国别和区域研究中心、教育部港澳与内地高校师生交流计划项目单位、国家留学基金委创新型人才国际合作培养项目实施单位、国家留基委国别区域研究人才支持计划项目单位、教育部中外高水平大学学生交流计划项目单位、浙江省浙非高等教育合作伙伴计划成员单位、浙江省对台交流基地。

Communication University of Zhejiang attaches great importance to the overseas promotion of Chinese traditional culture and the overseas dissemination of Chinese stories. The students of the International Education College come from Argentina, France, the United States, Canada, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Russia, Vietnam, South Korea, Tanzania, Turkey, South Africa, and other countries, covering five continents. Traditional and intangible cultural heritage courses have always been critical in constructing special systems for international students in the school. "Calligraphy Appreciation", "Chinese Kunqu Opera Art", "Chinese Seal Carving Art", "Ink Chinese Painting", "Chinese Tea Art",  "Peking Opera Appreciation", "Chinese traditional martial arts", "Classical dance appreciation", and "Research on the Techniques of Chinese Painting Boneless Flowers and Birds" are offered all year round. More than 1,000 international students participated in courses. 浙江传媒学院高度重视中国传统文化的海外推广和中国故事的海外传播，国际教育学院学生来自阿根廷、法国、美国、加拿大、意大利、马来西亚、新加坡、俄罗斯、越南、韩国、坦桑尼亚、土耳其、南非等国家，范围覆盖五大洲。传统文化和非遗课程历来是学校留学生特色课程建设中的重点工作，常年开设《书法鉴赏》、《中国昆曲艺术》、《中国篆刻艺术》、《水墨中国画》、《中国茶艺》、《京剧欣赏与学唱》、《中国传统武术》、《古典舞欣赏》、《中国画没骨花鸟技法研究》等课程，吸引了 1000 余名留学生参与。相关课程教学基础扎实，师资经验丰富，能够有力保障项目的顺利开展和实施。
