西安翻译学院（XFU）于1987年由中国杰出教育家、首任校长丁祖义教授创办。 作为中国最早的民办大学之一，西安翻译学院已发展成为一所以文科、商科为主，以外语为特色综合性大学。我校共开设专业60余个，涵盖文、经、管、工、艺、法、教育、医学等八大学科门类，学生23000余名，教授、副教授在内教职工1720余人。

Xi'an Fanyi University (XFU) was founded in 1987 by Professor Ding Zuyi, an outstanding Chinese educator and its first president.
