SDUT covers an area of 240 hectares with a floor space of 1.07 million square meters. The combined value of the teaching and research instruments reaches 589 million yuan. SDUT hosts 2 national (virtual reality) experimental teaching demonstration centers and 21 laboratories jointly built by the central and local governments. There are 3 national research centers (sub-centers) of engineering and technology, 2 national and local joint engineering research centers and 1 engineering research center of the Ministry of Education. Additionally, SDUT has 48 teaching and research platforms at provincial level, which include Engineering Research Center, Public Service Base of Testing and R&D, and Collaborative Innovation Center. Shandong Research Institute of Engineering and Technology has also been set up on campus.

学校占地3600亩，校舍建筑面积107万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值5.89亿元。拥有国家级（虚拟仿真）实验教学示范中心2个、中央与地方共建实验室21个。设有3个国家工程技术研究中心（分中心）、2个国家地方联合工程研究中心和1个教育部工程研究中心，拥有省级工程技术研究中心、省检测研发公共服务基地、省级协同创新中心等教学科研平台48个，山东工程技术研究院设在我校。

Before the epidemic, our school organized annual summer camp or winter camp for cultural visits, in which the students mainly came from friendly universities in different countries. Through the one- to two-week visits, the students were able to learn introductory knowledge of Chinese language, experience Chinese traditional culture such as tea culture, paper-cutting, calligraphy, seal carving and martial arts, and experience first-hand the contrast between ancient and modern civilization in Shandong through visiting the surrounding monuments and modern technological and cultural venues, thus developing a strong interest in Shandong and Chinese culture.

疫情之前，我校每学期的寒暑假会定期组织夏令营或是冬令营文化访学活动，参加访学的学生主要来自各国的友好学校，同学们通过一至两周的访学活动，能够学到汉语的入门知识，体验中国的茶文化、剪纸、书法、印章雕刻、武术等传统文化，并通过参观周边古迹和现代的科技文化场馆，亲身体验山东的古现代文明对比，从而对山东、对中国文化产生浓厚的兴趣，很多访学的同学回国后，通过交换生等形式来我校继续学习。

The new international student dormitory building was completed and put into use in 2020. There are single, double and quadruple rooms for students to choose from, equipped with bedding, air conditioning, drinking fountains, toilets, shower rooms, common kitchens and laundry rooms. International students can eat in the university cafeteria (about 30 RMB a day), cook their own meals in the common kitchen or go out to eat in restaurants around the university.

新国际学生公寓于2020年建成并投入使用。宿舍有单人间、双人间及四人间供学生选择，房间配备床上用品、空调、饮水机、卫生间、淋浴房、公共厨房、洗衣房。国际学生可在学校餐厅用餐(一天约需30元人民币)，也可在国际学生公寓厨房内自己做饭或外出在学校周边饭店用餐。
