厦门大学国际中文教育学院/海外教育学院创建于1956年，历经华侨函授部、海外函授部、海外函授学院、海外教育学院、海外教育学院与国际学院合署等不同时期。经过60余年的发展，学院已经形成了汉语国际教育与文化传播并重、学历教育与非学历教育兼备、面授教学与远程教育并举、理论研究与应用开发并行的特色，同时承担我校14所共建孔子学院管理与发展工作。学院现设有华文系、中外语言交流合作中心、汉语国际推广南方基地、港澳台侨先修部等机构，是国家语委汉语口语水平考试和汉语水平考试考点。

Founded in 1956, Xiamen University Chinese International Education College / Overseas Education College has been evolved through different periods from Overseas Chinese Correspondence Education Department, Overseas Correspondence Education Department, Overseas Correspondence Education College, Overseas Education College, and a combined institute of Chinese International Education College / Overseas Education College. As a result of development of over six decades, the college has formed a feature of attaching equal importance to Chinese international education and cultural dissemination, offering academic certificate education and non-school record education at the same time, conducting face-to-face personal teaching and distance education simultaneously, combining theoretical research with application and development. Meanwhile, the college has undertaken the management and development of 14 co-built Confucius Institutes overseas. It currently comprises Chinese Department, Center of Chinese and Foreign Languages Cooperation and Exchange, Southern Base of Chinese International Promotion, Advanced Placement Department for Students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, etc. It also has a testing center for HSKK, and HSK commissioned by the State Language Commission.

学院教学类别和层次多元化，从来华留学的汉语本科生、长短期进修生及海外远程教育本科生，到语言学专业硕士生、汉语国际教育硕士生、对外汉语教学双学位，到孔子学院中外方院长、汉语教师、志愿者岗前培训等，学院着力培养具有全球视野、热爱国际中文教育事业，能胜任国际中文教育各种任务的复合型专门人才，同时以共建孔子学院为支点拓展国际中文教育广度深度，66年来，共培养了约6万名各类人才；我校共建孔子学院海外注册学员逾20万。此外，学院下设台港澳学生先修部至今已有28年历史，升学率均在95%以上，在社会上有着广泛的影响力和知名度，是厦门大学联系和服务广大港澳台侨胞的纽带与桥梁。

The college has diversified and multi-leveled categories of teaching, ranging from bachelor degree programs for foreign students, long- and short-term training programs, and distance bachelor-degree programs for foreign students, to master degree programs of linguistics, master programs of Chinese international education, double-degree programs of Chinese as a foreign language, to the training programs for Chinese and foreign directors of Confucius Institutes, Chinese teachers, and pre-job training for volunteer teachers, and so on, sparing no effort to cultivate specially-integrated talents that are equipped with a global view, instilled with a love for Chinese international education, and enabled to carry out all kind of tasks related to Chinese international education. Meanwhile, the college has extended and deepened Chinese international education with the support of its co-built Confucius Institutes overseas. In the past 66 years, the college has brought up about 60,000 talents of all kinds, and its co-built Confucius Institutes have a total of over 200,000 registered students. Besides, the Advanced Placement Department for Students from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao has been in operation for 28 years, with a constant enrollment rate of over 95%. With a broad social impact and great popularity, it has been acting as a bridge for Xiamen University to link and serve our broad compatriots in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao.

学院以服务于国际中文教育和孔子学院建设为目标，下设厦门大学中外语言交流合作中心，致力于推进以孔子学院为载体的国际中文教育，服务五大洲14所厦门大学共建孔子学院管理与发展，与国内外兄弟院校开展中外语言交流合作，建设中外语言交流合作示范基地，共同搭建学习语言、交流文化、推动校际间全方位合作的平台。

Aimed at serving international Chinese education and the construction of Confucius Institutes, the college has set up Xiamen University Center for Language Education and Cooperation and is determined to promote international Chinese education through Confucius Institutes, undertake the management and development of the 14 Confucius Institutes co-built by Xiamen University in five continents, carry out language exchange and cooperation with partnership universities at home and abroad, establish a demonstration base for language exchange and cooperation, jointly establish platforms for language learning, cultural exchange, promoting inter-university cooperation in an all-round way.

Chinese International Education College / Overseas Education College is making great efforts to build itself into a high-level and well-known institute for Chinese international education with advanced concept, distinctive character, and demonstrative effect. It is aimed to strengthen opening of education to the outside world, promote Chinese language and culture worldwide, let the world know China, thus making an active contribution to promoting exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations and humanistic exchange between China and the rest of the world. 

国外团组夏令营项目

厦门大学国际中文教育学院/海外教育学院承办过各类短期项目，如“汉语桥”春/夏/秋/冬令营等，项目持续时间为2-3周，参与项目的学员来自五洲四海，比如英国、新西兰、泰国、土耳其、波兰、德国、加拿大、南非和尼日利亚等国。

Chinese International Education College / Overseas Education College has hosted many short-term programs such as Chinese Bridge Delegation Summer/Autumn/Winter camps in the past years, each lasting 2 to 3 weeks. Most of participants are from all over the world, such as the UK, New Zealand, Thailand, Turkey, Poland, Germany, Canada, South Africa and Nigeria, etc.

学生夏/秋/冬令营活动包括汉语课、各类中华文化讲座（例如中外建筑赏析、中华饮食文化、京剧艺术赏析）书法、剪纸、中国结、太极拳、京剧脸谱、中华茶艺、民族歌曲。课堂学习之外，还为营员们安排了厦门市当地中小学参访、学生家庭参访、中外学生趣味运动会、包饺子体验等。学员们在厦门期间游览厦门鼓浪屿、南普陀寺、集美学村以及南靖土楼等名胜，充分领略鹭岛风情，体验当代闽南文化。

These camps offered a great variety of activities, including Chinese lessons, lectures on Chinese culture, Chinese Calligraphy, Paper cutting, Chinese Knot making, Tai Chi, Peking Opera, Chinese Tea, Folk songs etc. Besides, many events were organized such as visiting local schools and families, having fun games and making local food . They experienced both the beauty of Xiamen City and the local culture of Southern Fujian.

根据学生团组成员的年龄阶段、汉语水平、地域文化特色，结合目前国内储备孔子学院专职教师的专业特长，科学设置培训课程。在严格遵守汉语桥团组要求的同时，安排丰富多样的文化课程与外出参访，旨在丰富来访学生对于当代中国社会的感性认识，加深他们对中国文化的了解与兴趣，激发他们进一步学习汉语的热情。

Chinese International Education College / Overseas Education College designed the courses and activities scientifically on the basis of professional competence and research areas of its CI teachers in reserve and also in the light of students' age groups, Chinese proficiency and cultural contemporary China, deepened their understanding of Chinese culture and interest and motivated them to continue learning Chinese.

因全球新冠疫情爆发，“汉语桥”等线下访华团组停滞，为保持海外青少年中文学习热情，满足其了解中国语言文化的需求，进一步做好国际中文教育发展和中外人文交流工作，2021年以来，厦门大学国际中文教育学院/海外教育学院已成功承办三期 “汉语桥”线上团组交流项目。

Due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, it is impossible to organize groups such as Chinese Bridge Delegations to visit China on site. In order to maintain the enthusiasm of overseas youths to learn Chinese, meet their needs to understand Chinese language and culture, and further improve the development of international Chinese education and cultural exchange between China and other countries, since 2021, Chinese International Education College / Overseas Education College has undertaken three groups of the Chinese Bridge Delegations online.

厦门大学翔安校区位于厦门市翔安区香山街道，北依香山山脉、南临翔安南路。重点布局生命、医学、海洋等新兴学科和应用学科；重点发展国际中文教育。

Xiang’an Campus is located in Xiang’an District, Xiamen. It mainly focuses on academic divisions such as medicine and life Sciences, earth sciences and technology, and newly emerging disciplines and applied disciplines. It also focuses on the development of Chinese International Education. 

厦门大学翔安校区占地243公顷，规模宏大。校区内设有学生公寓、图书馆、恒温游泳馆、篮排网足球场、食堂、银行、小吃城、商店等。学生住宿设施齐全，配有空调、热水器、木制桌椅、保险柜和网络接口。 

Covering a huge area of 243 hectares, the new campus provide complete facilities like apartments, library, swimming pool, sports fields, cafeteria, banks, stores, etc. For example, the student apartments combines four bedrooms, four balconies, a sitting room and a bathroom, equipped with facilities like air-conditioner, wooden sofa, safe, water heater for shower and fee-based internet access.
