Founded in 1950, the university was formerly known as Changchun College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was founded in 1958. In 2006, it was renamed Changchun University of Chinese Medicine (CCUCM). CCUCM is one of the Provincial Key Universities of Jilin Province, a university of the National Basic Ability Construction Project of Western and Central China, a university jointly built by the People's Government of Jilin Province and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and one of Jilin Provincial Characteristic High-level Construction Universities.

长春中医药大学肇始于1950年成立的长春市立中医进修学校，前身是1958年成立的长春中医学院，2006年更名为长春中医药大学。学校是吉林省省属重点大学、国家中西部高校基础能力建设工程高校、吉林省人民政府和国家中医药管理局共建高校、吉林省特色高水平大学建设高校。

CCUCM always adheres to the spirit of educational innovation through the development of specializations, in line with the motto “Learn, Esteem, Embrace” (Learn from the Classics, Esteem Professionalism and Embrace Modern Technology), firmly grasps the basic task of “Fostering Virtue through Education”. CCUCM is one of the first batches of host universities approved by the Ministry of Education to receive and train students from foreign countries, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao regions. In 2013, the University was granted the qualification of cultivating students awarded by the Chinese Government Scholarship. The University has established extensive academic exchange and cooperation with universities and research institutions from 21countries and regions. In recent years, the University has undertaken nearly 10 national, provincial and ministerial projects, including the Special International Cooperation Projects of the International Cooperation Department of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine—the Northeast Asia TCM Communication and Development Base Project and the China-Russia TCM Center (Moscow).

学校是教育部首批批准接收和培养外国留学生及台港澳地区学生院校，并于2013年获得中国政府奖学金培养院校资格；先后与21个国家和地区的高校、研究单位开展广泛的学术交流与合作。近年来承担国家级、省部级项目近10项，建有国家中医药管理局国际合作司国际合作专项“东北亚中医药传播发展基地”和“中国—俄罗斯中医药中心（莫斯科）”。

There is a gymnasium, a sports stadium, a library, a Jilin Provincial Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Baicao Garden on campus. And it is also equipped with an independent teaching building for international students, where they can fully engage in their studies.

校园内有体育馆、体育场、图书馆、吉林省中医药博物馆和百草园等，同时还配备独立的国际学生教学楼，国际学生可以在这里充分地投入到学习中来。

For years, Changchun University of Chinese Medicine has focused on international academic education and cultural dissemination of TCM, given full play to its own advantages and discipline characteristics, actively promoted the strategy of education internationalization, constantly deepened foreign cooperation and exchanges, and hosted many international academic conferences on Traditional Chinese Medicine. CCUCM has maintained long-term friendly exchanges and established cooperative relations with educational and scientific research institutions in more than 20 countries and regions, including South Korea, Japan, the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, and carried out international exchange programs such as Traditional Chinese Medicine cultural Experience, Joint Training of Foreign Students of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Sino-US-Japan Joint Laboratory Research on Key Scientific and Technological Issues.

Changchun University of Chinese Medicine is rich in teaching resources, and has built the Museum of “Five Movements and Six Climates”, Jilin Provincial Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine, etc.

The Museum of “Five Movements and Six Climates” is built according to the ancient Chinese science of studying the laws of celestial and climatic changes and their effects on human life activities. It has a wealth of pictures, images of the teaching models, vivid “Five Movements and Six Climates” animation and teaching courseware. The Museum plays a positive role in promoting TCM classics, inspiring TCM thinking, broadening learning horizons, guiding clinical practice, understanding the broad and profound nature of TCM, and excavating the scientific connotation of “Five Movements and Six Climates”.

五运六气馆是依据中国古代研究天时气候变化规律及其对人体生命活动影响的一门科学建设的，拥有丰富的图文、形象的教学模型、生动的五运六气动画片及教学相关课件。对于弘扬中医经典、启发中医思维、开阔学习视野、指导临床实践，以及深入理解中医学的博大精深，挖掘五运六气的科学内涵均具有积极的促进作用。

Jilin Provincial Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine was opened in 2013, covering an area of 12,000 square meters, with a building area of 7,250 square meters and an exhibition area of 3,860 square meters. It has the School History Exhibition Hall and six other exhibition halls, namely, Northern medicine Exhibition Hall, Animal Medicine Exhibition Hall, Ginseng Exhibition Hall, Jilin Famous and Excellent Traditional Chinese Medicine Enterprise Exhibition Hall, General History of Traditional Chinese Medicine Exhibition Hall and Local Medicine Characteristic Exhibition Hall. The Musuem has collected and displayed 3,381 TCM cultural relics (including imitation products) and nearly 10,000 traditional Chinese medicine specimens. The museum is now a provincial science popularization base recognized by Jilin Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the fourth batch of Science Popularization Education Base named by Jilin Provincial Association for Science and Technology, and the National Science Popularization Education Base named by China Association for Science and Technology. The museum has become a professional cultural site and a brand of the University. It plays an active role in developing professional teaching for students, popularizing TCM knowledge for the public and carrying forward traditional Chinese culture.

吉林省中医药博物馆于2013年建成开馆，占地面积12000平方米，建筑面积7250平方米，展示面积3860平方米，设校史馆和六个展厅，即北药展厅、动物药展厅、人参展厅、吉林省名优中药企业展厅、中医药通史展厅和地方医药特色展厅，收藏并展示中医药文物（含仿制品）3381件，中药标本近万份。现为吉林省科技厅认定省级科普基地，吉林省科协命名为第四批科普教育基地，中国科协命名为全国科普教育基地。博物馆已经成为学校颇具专业特色的文化场所和对外品牌，在面向学生开展专业教学、面向大众普及中医药知识、弘扬我国传统文化方面发挥积极作用。

After the global outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, in order to improve people's immunity, Changchun University of Chinese Medicine created its own Health Exercise for Lung Disease Prevention. This set of exercise has been translated into English and transmitted to many countries. In accordance with the theory of traditional Chinese medicine and based on the traditional regimen, the exercise uses martial arts routines as its carrier, aiming at recuperating and raising the mind in the epidemic and stay-at- home situation .

2020年新冠肺炎疫情在全球爆发以后，为提升人民免疫力，长春中医药大学自创了宣肺防疫健身功，并翻译成英文版本，传播至海外。该功法以中医理论为指导，以传统养生功法为基础，以武术套路为载体、以调身养心为目的针对当前疫情以及居家环境特点研创而成。

Changchun University of Chinese Medicine covers an area of 678,900 square meters. The main campus is located in Changchun Jingyue National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, adjacent to Jingyuetan National Forest Park. The campus has a beautiful ecological environment and good accommodation conditions.

长春中医药大学占地面积67.89万平方米。主校区坐落在长春净月国家高新技术产业开发区，毗邻净月潭国家森林公园，校园生态环境优美，住宿条件良好。

The International Students’ Apartments are divided into single rooms and standard double rooms, with independent bathroom and various facilities, and laundry room and buffet room are prepared for students to use on each floor.

国际学生公寓分为单人间和标准的双人间，拥有独立卫浴，各项设施齐全，同时每层楼还单独设置洗衣间和冷餐间，供学生使用。

To ensure the health of students, the university canteen has a rich diet and balanced nutrition. And in order to meet the habits of different religious beliefs, a separate Muslims' restaurant is set up.

为保障学生身体健康，学校食堂的饮食丰富、营养均衡。并且为满足不同宗教信仰习惯，单独设置了清真餐厅。
