Jilin Animation Institute was founded in June 2000 and approved by the Ministry of Education as a private undergraduate university in 2008. At present, the Institute has School of Animation Art, School of Comic, School of Game School of Design,School of Film and other 12 schools, we have for animation, comic, digital media art and visual communication design 36 undergraduate majors. Our Institute has 1 national characteristic major, 5 national first-class undergraduate major construction points, 4 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction points, 3 provincial characteristic high-level majors, and 4 provincial innovation and entrepreneurship education reform pilot majors. It has been awarded as "National Animation Teaching and Research Base", "National Animation Industry Base", "National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base", and "National University Student Innovation and entrepreneurship Project implementation unit".
吉林动画学院创建于2000年6月，2008年经教育部批准为民办普通本科高校。目前，学校下设动画艺术学院、漫画学院、游戏学院、设计与产品学院、电影学院等12个学院，开设动画、漫画、数字媒体艺术、视觉传达设计等36个本科专业，现有本科在校生12000余人。学校拥有国家级特色专业1个，国家一流本科专业建设点5个，省级一流本科专业建设点4个，省级特色高水平专业3个，省级创新创业教育改革试点专业4个。 先后被评为“国家动画教学研究基地”“国家动画产业基地”“国家文化产业示范基地”，是“国家大学生创新创业项目实施单位”。
