Our university originated from Yuelu Academy founded in 976. In 1926, it was officially named Hunan University. It is the longest running institution of higher learning in China. After thousands of years of changes, it has kept the continuity of culture and education. It is a vivid epitome of the development of higher education in China and a rare miracle of higher education in the world. Since the reform and opening up, the university has successively entered the ranks of national key universities, included by"211 Project", "985 Project" and "world-class universities" project.

我校办学起源于公元976年创办的岳麓书院，1926年正式定名湖南大学，是中国同址办学时间最长的高等学府,历经千年变迁，弦歌不绝，始终保持文化教育的连续性，是中国高等教育发展的生动缩影和世界高等教育的罕见奇迹。改革开放以来，学校先后进入全国重点大学、“211工程”、“985工程”和“世界一流大学”建设高校行列。

At present, our university has established two Confucius Institutes in cooperation with foreign universities, namely, the Confucius Institute of Hunan University at Honam University (South Korea) and the Confucius Institute at Regina University (Canada). the Confucius Institute of Hunan University at Honam University is located in Gwangju, South Korea. It was established in December 2006 and has enrolled 40068 students accumulatively. the Confucius Institute at Regina University is located in Regina, capital city of Saskatchewan, Canada. It was founded in November 2011 and has enrolled 3760 students accumulatively.

我校目前和国外高校合作建立了两所孔子学院，分别为韩国湖南大学孔子学院、加拿大里贾纳大学孔子学院。韩国湖南大学孔子学院位于韩国韩国光州直辖市，成立于2006年12月，累计招收学员40068人。里贾纳大学孔子学院位于加拿大萨斯喀彻温省首府里贾纳市，成立于2011年11月，累计共招收学员3760人。

Since 2020, our school has participated in the application of the "Chinese Bridge" online group exchange project, and has successively undertaken two "Chinese Bridge" online winter camps. Among them, "Xiang" meets Hunan -- the 2021 "Chinese Bridge" online winter camp of Hunan University attracted 398 Chinese lovers from Japan, Turkey, Germany and other countries to sign up for participation. "Poverty alleviation and happiness in Hunan" -- from 2021 to 2022, a total of 892 students from 17 countries participated in the "Chinese Bridge" online winter camp of Hunan University, and the response was enthusiastic.

我校从2020年开始参与“汉语桥”线上团组交流项目的申报，相继承办了两届“汉语桥”线上冬令营。其中“湘”见湖南--2021年湖南大学“汉语桥”线上冬令营吸引了来自日本、土耳其、德国等国家的398名中文爱好者报名参与。“湘扶贫、湘幸福”--2021-2022年湖南大学“汉语桥”线上冬令营，共有来自17个国家的892名学员参与了此项目，反响热烈。

Hunan University is located in Changsha, which has the dual identity of a national historical and cultural city and a tourist magent in China. It is adjacent to Yuelu Mountain in the north, Xiangjiang River in the south, overlooking Orange Island acrossing the Xiangjiang River. The history of our university can be traced back to Yuelu Academy, a "Millennium academy" founded in AD 976. Our University has unique natural, historical and cultural resources. The university has complete learning and living facilities and convenient transportation. It can provide a good learning and living environment for the Chinese language learners. Before the outbreak of COVID-19, Our school has received offline Chinese-learning student groups for many times and has rich experience in receiving visiting groups.

我校地处兼有国家历史文化名城和网红城市双重身份的长沙，北倚岳麓山， 南面湘江水，远眺橘子洲，更有“千年学府”岳麓书院，有着得天独厚的自然和历史人文资源，校内学习及生活设施齐全，交通便利，可以为来华团组成员们提供良好的学习和生活环境，新冠疫情发生前，我校多次接待了线下来华团组，有丰富的来华团组接待经验。

Yuelu Academy is located at the foot of the beautiful Yuelu Mountain on the West Bank of the Xiangjiang River in Changsha City, Hunan Province, in the campus of Hunan University. It is one of the four famous academies in China. It was founded in the Northern Song Dynasty and remained unchanged throughout the song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. With the reform of the educational system at the end of the Qing Dynasty, the abolition of academies, the establishment of schools, the transformation of colleges and universities after the 1911 Revolution, and the expansion of Hunan University, all of them have been the places of higher learning in Hunan for more than 1000 years, reflecting the long history of the cultural and educational undertakings of China. They are very valuable cultural relics. Since the management and restoration of Yuelu Academy by Hunan University in the early 1980s, the academy has continued the tradition of education and academic research for thousands of years. It has become a typical representative of academies across the country to inherit its traditional functions and is known as the "Millennium academy".

岳麓书院位于湖南省长沙市湘江西岸秀丽的岳麓山下，湖南大学校园之中，为我国著名的“四大书院”之一。它自北宋创始，历宋、元、明、清各代，兴学不变。随着清末改革学制，废书院，办学堂，辛亥革命后改高等学校等，直至湖南大学，均因旧址扩建，千余年来都是湖南高等学府所在，反映了祖国文教事业的悠久历史，是十分可贵的文物史迹。自上世纪八十年代初岳麓书院经由湖南大学管理和修复以来，书院延续了千年的教育办学和学术研究传统，成为了全国书院中承继其传统功能的典型代表，被外界誉为“千年学府”。

The school of Chinese Language and Literature of our university has a major in international Chinese education, which enrolls undergraduate and postgraduate students. It has a team of international Chinese education teachers with solid theoretical knowledge and rich teaching experience.

我校中国语言文学学院设有汉语国际教育专业，招收本科生和硕士研究生，拥有一支理论知识扎实、教学经验丰富的国际中文教育教师队伍。

Baishuidong village is a poverty alleviation village of Hunan University. We will invite the delegation to visit baishuidong village to personally understand and feel how baishuidong village has taken off the poverty label and the gratifying changes experienced by the local people in living, production, education, employment and cultural heritage preservation in recent years with the joint efforts of Hunan University and the local government，and to get to know China's poverty alleviation and Rural Revitalization from the perspective of equality.

白水洞村是湖南大学驻点扶贫村，我们将邀请来华团组亲临白水洞村，切身了解和感受在湖南大学和地方政府的共同努力下，白水洞村如何摘掉了贫困的帽子以及近年来当地老百姓在居住、生产、教育、就业及文化传统保留等方面经历的可喜变化，让来华团组的成员们，以客观、真实、平视的角度了解中国的扶贫和乡村振兴事业。

Jixian hotel is affiliated to Hunan University. It is located in the campus of Hunan University, at the foot of Yuelu Mountain. It has a beautiful environment and convenient transportation. It is a comprehensive hotel built according to the three-star standard, integrating accommodation, catering, conference and business reception. The hotel has 108 rooms of various types, and the restaurant can accommodate more than 400 people at the same time. There are four meeting rooms of various types, which can accommodate more than 300 people at the same time.

集贤宾馆隶属于湖南大学，位于湖南大学校内，岳麓山脚，环境优美，交通便利，是一家按三星级标准建造的一家集住宿、饮食、会议、商务接待于一体的综合性宾馆。宾馆拥有各类客房108间，餐厅可同时容纳400余人就餐，拥有各类会议室四个，可同时容纳300余人开会。
