西北大学现有太白校区、桃园校区、长安校区三个校区，总占地面积2360余亩。现有24个院（系）和研究生院、1个中外合作办学机构、6个非直属附属医院。学校自1965年开始招收留学生，是西北地区开展国际中文教育最早的高校之一。1992年成立国际教育学院，专门负责留学生的管理及汉语和中国文化教学，至今已培养超过60个国家的12000余名国际学生，我校在长期实践中积累了丰富的国际中文教育教学和管理经验，也依托教学实践积极开展国际中文教育相关研究和师资培养工作。

NWU has 3 campuses: the Taibai Campus, the Taoyuan Campus and the Chang'an Campus. They cover a total area approximately 400 acres, and comprise 24 schools and departments, plus a graduate school, a Sino-foreign cooperative institution, and 6 non-directly affiliated hospitals. Since 1965, the university has been recruiting international students, which is one of the earliest universities in Northwest China to carry out international Chinese education. The School of International Education of Northwest University was established in 1992. It is a secondary unit in NWU that undertakes the admissions, teaching and training, daily management, logistics services for international students, as well as discipline construction and scientific research of teaching Chinese as a second language. Till now, NWU has cultivated more than 12,000 international students from over 60 countries. The University has accumulated rich experience in teaching of international Chinese education, and also actively carries out research and teacher training work related to international Chinese education based on teaching practice.

学校公共教学楼教室和国际教育学院留学生专用教室均为多媒体教室，设施齐全，设备先进。两校区图书馆载体形态齐全，已建成较先进的自动化网络服务平台体系。

The classrooms in the public teaching building and the special classrooms for international students in the School of International Education are all multimedia classrooms with complete facilities and advanced equipment. The libraries of the two campuses have complete carrier forms and have built an advanced automated network service platform system.

另有西北大学博物馆，位于太白校区，现有馆藏文物、标本5000余件。充分发挥着西北大学百廿薪火相传下的自然学科特色和文物藏品优势，下设校史、地球、生物、历史4个分馆。

There is also the Northwest University Museum, located on the Taibai campus, with a collection of more than 5,000 artifacts and specimens, which shows the university's natural discipline characteristics and heritage collection advantages. There are four branches of the museum: the university history, the earth, the biology, and the history.

学校各类实验室设备齐全，能够满足留学生学习和研究需求。为了提高留学生学习汉语的兴趣，国际教育学院还建设了智慧课堂汉语教学实验室。

Various laboratories in the university are well-equipped to meet the study and research needs of international students. In order to enhance the interest of international students in learning Chinese, the School of International Education has also built the Smart Classroom-Chinese Teaching Lab.

依托传统文化相关学科优势和古城西安历史文化资源优势，西北大学与世界一流汉学家、国内外学术名家和多个学术机构开展合作，努力打造立体化中国传统文化展示平台。

Relying on the advantages of traditional culture related disciplines and the historical and cultural resources of the ancient city of Xi'an, Northwest University has cooperated with world-class sinologists, domestic and foreign academic luminaries and several academic institutions in an effort to create a three-dimensional platform for the presentation of traditional Chinese culture.

目前，西北大学国际教育学院专门负责留学生的汉语和中国文化教学。在长期教育实践中，针对不同学习期限、汉语水平、母语背景和学习目的等设置课程，形成了一套成熟的培养模式，在汉语培训方面积累了丰富的经验，并且建立起了一支以专职教师为主、兼职教师为辅汉语师资团队。

At present, the School of International Education of Northwest University specializes in teaching Chinese language and Chinese culture to international students. In the long-term practice, it has set up courses for different learning periods, Chinese language levels, native language backgrounds and learning purposes, formed a mature training model, accumulated rich experience in Chinese language training, and established a strong team of Chinese teachers.

参访内容包括语言培训、文化体验和文化参观。其中，语言培训将重点培养学生汉语听说技能，提升学生汉语交际能力，也可根据团体需要，进行课程内容定制。同时，通过中外青少年交流与互动，让国际学生感受中国社会生活的多个生动侧面，为青年国际交流、沟通搭建桥梁。

The content of the visit includes language training, cultural experience and cultural tour. Among them, the language training will focus on developing students' Chinese listening and speaking skills and improving their Chinese communicative ability. The course content can also be customized according to the needs of the group. At the same time, through exchanges and interactions between Chinese and foreign youths, international students will be able to experience many vivid aspects of Chinese social life and build a bridge for international exchange and communication among youths.

文化体验部分着重于中国特色传统文化实践课程，依托西北大学作为一所综合性大学的百廿人文底蕴，开展中国书画、太极拳、中国茶道文化、中国剪纸、学唱中国歌等多项实践体验类课程，使学生可以在动手过程中更深刻的感受中国传统文化。

The cultural experience section focuses on traditional Chinese cultural practice courses, relying on Northwest University's humanistic heritage brings by its 120 years of history as a comprehensive university, and offers a number of practical experience courses such as Chinese painting and calligraphy, Tai Chi, Chinese tea ceremony culture, Chinese paper cutting, and learning to sing Chinese songs, so that students can experience Chinese traditional culture in the process.

文化参观部分则利用西北大学所在的陕西西安的地域文化资源，突出西安最具标志性的历史文化特点，通过对秦兵马俑、唐大雁塔和大唐不夜城、明城墙和钟鼓楼等历史文化遗址的实地参观，为学生提供认识中国和了解中华文明的机会，让他们在了解古代丝路起点前世今生的同时，了解中国文化。

The cultural tour section takes advantage of the regional and cultural resources of Xi'an, Shaanxi, where Northwest University is located, and highlights the most iconic historical and cultural features of Xi'an. Through field visits to historical and cultural sites such as the Terracotta Warriors of Qin, the Great Wild Goose Pagoda of Tang and the Night City of Tang, the Ming City Wall and the Bell and Drum Tower, students are provided with the opportunity to get to know China and understand Chinese civilization while learning about the past life and present life of the starting point of the ancient Silk Road.

西北大学留学生宿舍及公寓环境优美，设施齐全，宿舍设有单人间、两人间、三人间，供学生自由选择。每个宿舍配有空调、家具（床、书桌、凳子、衣柜、储物柜）、无线网络等。每个楼层均设2个洗衣洗漱间、2个公共厨房，能满足留学生的生活需求。由国际教育学院国际学生后勤服务中心统一负责进行物业管理和服务。

The dormitories and apartments of Northwest University for international students have beautiful environment and complete facilities. There are single rooms, double rooms and triple rooms available for students to choose from. Each dormitory is equipped with air conditioner, furniture (bed, desk, stool, closet, locker), internet connection, etc. There are 2 laundry and washing rooms and 2 common kitchens on each floor, which can meet the living needs of international students. The International Student Logistics Service Center of the School of International Education is responsible for property management and services.
