While focusing on engineering , the university has formed a unique humanities . The college of Architecture aimed at building virtual and soul ，which has a postgraduate education joint training base for "Ancient Architecture Protection in Shanxi Province", and an excellent traditional culture and art education base for "Shanxi Province Ancient Architecture Construction Skills Inheritance". The Textile Engineering College and the Art College jointly own the "National Design Art Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center", which can meet the needs of teaching practice. The Design Art Experimental Center of the Academy of Arts was approved by the Ministry of Education to become a national-level experimental teaching demonstration center in 2013. The Art Heritage Research Center is a key research base for humanities and social sciences in universities in Shanxi Province. In addition, the college also has a 4,380-square-meter professional art gallery.

国际教育交流学院成立于2004年初，是学校“国际化”战略的窗口，在推动太原理工大学高等教育国际化的进程中发挥着重要作用。

Founded in early 2004, the college of International Education Exchange is the window of the school's "internationalization" strategy and plays an important role in promoting the internationalization of higher education in Taiyuan University of Technology.

学院目前承担着作为教育部中国政府奖学金和孔子学院奖学金留学生培养单位的留学生招生、录取和教学管理工作，面向海外招收攻读理工、经管、文法、艺术等各种专业学士、硕士和博士学位的留学生，并在学院学习汉语和中华文化。迄今，已经培养来自美国、俄罗斯、法国、巴基斯坦、孟加拉国、越南、贝宁、也门、老挝等50多个国家和地区的外国留学生。

The college is currently responsible for the recruitment, admission and teaching management of international students as a training unit for Chinese government scholarships and Confucius Institute scholarships by the Ministry of Education, and recruits overseas students studying for bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in various majors such as science and engineering, economics and management, humanities and law, and art. Students study Chinese and Chinese culture at the college. So far, it has trained foreign students from more than 50 countries and regions, including the United States, Russia, France, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Benin, Yemen, Laos, etc.

Chinese Bridge Project-Travelling the Folk Houses in Shanxi Province Virtually，Savoring the Beauty of Shanxi Architecture Online

2022年1月17日-1月21日，我院承办了“汉语桥”线上团组交流项目——“云游山西民居·品味晋筑晋美”。该项目采取录播与直播相结合的方式，在全方位、多角度地向学员们介绍汉语言知识的同时，以山西古建筑文化为窗口，展示中华优秀传统文化，是一次充满欢乐、温馨与收获的文化体验之旅。

From January 17th to January 21st, 2022, our college undertook the "Chinese Bridge" online group exchange program - "Travelling the Folk Houses in Shanxi Province Virtually，Savoring the Beauty of Shanxi Architecture Online". The project adopts a combination of recording and broadcasting. While introducing Chinese language knowledge to the students in an all-round and multi-angle manner, it uses the ancient architectural culture of Shanxi as a window to display the excellent traditional Chinese culture. It is a joyful, warm and harvested cultural experience tour.

为了满足疫情和后疫情时代的学习要求，在我省教育厅的大力支持下，我院教师精心准备，认真研讨，推出了线上精品课程“来华留学生汉语读写系列课程”，该课程分为入门篇、巩固篇、进阶篇、会通篇，可满足不同学习者的学习需求。课程内容翔实丰富，形式生动活泼，成为线上汉语学习的宝贵资源。此外，我院教师还在进行《中国概况》、《史话中国》、《高等数学》等课程的上线工作，丰富“留学山西”线上系列精品课程建设。

In order to meet the learning requirements of the epidemic and post-epidemic era, with the strong support of the Education Department of our province, the teachers of our college have carefully prepared and discussed carefully, and launched the online excellent course "Chinese Reading and Writing Series Courses for International Students in China". This course consists of Introductory Application, Consolidation Application, Promotion Application, and Integrated Application, which can meet the learning needs of different learners. The course is substantial in content and vivid in form, making it a valuable resource for online Chinese learning. 学校有明向、迎西、虎峪、柏林等四个校区，占地面积213万平方米，校舍总建筑面积169万平方米。

我校目前国际学生公寓包括迎西校区国教楼公寓，迎西校区9号楼，虎峪校区5号楼，明向校区21号楼，共有324间房间，共757个床位。

国际学生公寓配备齐全，住宿条件符合相关要求。公寓楼里设有公用洗衣机、公用吹风机，自动贩卖机和公用厨房等，另外每间宿舍配有独立卫浴、衣橱、写字台等设施，迎西校区国教楼的所有房间配有中央空调。公寓内部公共区域装有24小时监控设备，均有专职管理人员负责日常安全管理。

The college has four campuses including Mingxiang, Yingxi, Huyu and Bailin, covering an area of 2.13 million square meters and a total construction area of 1.69 million square meters.

The current international student apartments of our college include the international student apartments in Yingxi Campus, Building 9 in Yingxi Campus, Building 5 in Huyu Campus, and Building 21 in Mingxiang Campus, with a total of 324 rooms and a total of 757 beds.

International student apartments are fully equipped and the accommodation conditions meet relevant requirements. There are public washing machines, public hair dryers, vending machines and public kitchens in the apartment building. In addition, each dormitory is equipped with independent bathrooms, wardrobes, writing desks and other facilities. All rooms in the international student apartments of Yingxi Campus are equipped with central air conditioning. The public areas of the apartment are equipped with 24-hour monitoring equipment, and full-time management personnel are responsible for daily security management.
