重庆工业职业技术学院是由重庆市政府举办、重庆市教委主管的全日制公办普通高等院校。学校前身是重庆机器制造学校,1956年由原国家第二机械工业部创建;2000年重庆机器制造学校和重庆机械职工大学合并升格为重庆工业职业技术学院;2006年获批为首批28所国家示范性高职院校建设单位;2010年整体搬迁入住渝北空港;2019年获批中国特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划建设单位(B档)。

学校共有渝北空港校区、南川校区两个校区,占地1867.82亩,建筑面积50.51万平方米。现有全日制在校学生16000余人,图书226.84万册,教学科研设备值33865.81万元。设有机械工程学院、车辆工程学院、人工智能与大数据学院、经济与管理学院、设计学院、建筑工程学院、化学与制药工程学院、电子与物联网工程学院、电气工程学院、马克思主义学院(思想政治理论课教学研究部)、通识教育学院(体育工作部)11个二级学院和教学单位,开设56个专业。

学校办学成效显著,是首批国家级示范高职院校、国家级“双高计划”建设高水平学校(B档)建设单位,先后三次被评为全国职业教育先进单位,并获得全国职业院校“教学管理50强”“学生管理50强”“育人成效50强”等6个“50强”荣誉称号。《2022中国职业教育质量年度报告》中,学校荣获高职院校教师发展指数100所优秀院校、高职院校学生发展指数100所优秀院校、高职院校服务贡献60所典型院校。

在国际交流方面,学校坚持服务国家战略,通过实施多层次、宽领域的教育国际交流合作项目,不断拓宽合作领域,加深合作层次,国际化水平显著提升。学校是“中国—东盟高职院校特色合作项目”院校,陆海新通道职业教育国际合作联盟理事长单位,市属公办高校国际交流合作示范校、重庆市国际化特色项目院校。先后与德国、俄罗斯等国家和地区的40多个院校及企业开展了150多项合作,开展中外合作办学项目5个,师生交流650余人,培养留学生400余人。服务国际产能走出去,联合长安等企业在沙特阿拉伯、巴基斯坦、老挝建立了3个职教海外人才培养基地及熊猫工坊,累积培养境外企业人员1000余人次。组建陆海新通道职业教育研究院,联合开展课题研究,标准研发,开发并输出具有国际影响力的标准、资源等20余项,贡献中国职教智慧与方案。

当前正积极在高赋能先进制造业中挑重担做贡献,朝着建成“中国特色、世界水平”的高水平高等职业学校阔步前进。


Chongoing Industry Polytechnic College is a full-time public ordinary higher education institution hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Government and supervised by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. The predecessor of the school was Chongqing Machine Manufacturing School, established by the former Ministry of Second Machine Industry of China in 1956; in 2000, Chongqing Machine Manufacturing School and Chongqing Mechanical Workers University merged and upgraded to Chongqing Industry Vocational and Technical College; in 2006, it was approved as one of the first 28 national exemplary vocational colleges; in 2010, it moved to the Yubei Airport area; and in 2019, it was approved as a constructor of China's characteristic high-level vocational schools and professional construction plan (Category B).

The college has two campuses: Yubei Airport Campus and Nanchuan Campus, covering an area of 1867.82 acres with a construction area of 505,100 square meters. It currently has more than 16,000 full-time students, 2,268,400 volumes of books, and teaching and research equipment valued at 338,658,100 yuan. It has 11 secondary colleges and teaching units, including the School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Vehicle Engineering, School of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, School of Economics and Management, School of Design, School of Architecture and Engineering, School of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Engineering, School of Electronic and Internet of Things Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering, Marxism College (Department of Ideological and Political Theory Teaching and Research), and General Education College (Department of Sports), offering 56 specialties.

The school has achieved remarkable results in running, being one of the first batch of national exemplary vocational colleges and a national "Double High Plan" high-level school (Category B) constructor. It has been named a national advanced vocational education unit for three consecutive times and has won six "Top 50" honorary titles, including "Top 50 in Teaching Management," "Top 50 in Student Management," and "Top 50 in Education Effectiveness." In the "2022 China Vocational Education Quality Annual Report," the college was awarded as one of the top 100 colleges for teacher development, one of the top 100 colleges for student development, and one of the 60 typical colleges for service contribution.

In terms of international exchanges, the college adheres to serving the national strategy, continuously expanding cooperation fields and deepening cooperation levels through the implementation of multi-level and wide-ranging educational international exchange and cooperation projects, with a significant improvement in internationalization. The college is a member of the "China-ASEAN Vocational Colleges Characteristic Cooperation Project," the chairman unit of the New Land-Sea Corridor Vocational Education International Cooperation Alliance, a model school for international exchange and cooperation among municipal public colleges, and a characteristic international project college in Chongqing. It has carried out more than 150 cooperation projects with over 40 colleges and enterprises in Germany, Russia, and other countries and regions, conducted 5 Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, exchanged more than 650 teachers and students, and trained over 400 international students. In serving international industrial capacity going global, it has jointly established 3 overseas talent training bases and Panda Workshops in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Laos with companies like Changan, training more than 1,000 overseas enterprise personnel. It has set up the New Land-Sea Corridor Vocational Education Research Institute, jointly conducted research projects, developed standards, and exported more than 20 items with international influence, contributing Chinese vocational education wisdom and solutions.

The college is currently actively shouldering important responsibilities in the high-enabled advanced manufacturing industry, making contributions, and striding forward towards building a high-level vocational school with “Chinese characteristics and world-class standards.”
