浙江音乐学院
浙江音乐学院是一所创建于新时代的现代化音乐艺术大学,由浙江省人民政府举办,浙江省与文化和旅游部实施共建。学校现有在校本科生2850人,研究生670人,教职工683人,其中专任教师445人。学校占地面积602亩,校舍建筑面积36万平方米。拥有大剧院1座、音乐厅3座、剧场3个、演播厅2个、排练厅104间、琴房935间、录音棚8间以及图书馆等教学辅助和艺术实践场馆。
学校设有音乐与舞蹈学、艺术学理论、戏剧与影视学3个一级学科,均为浙江省一流学科,其中音乐与舞蹈学为A类。拥有硕士学位授予权和专业学位授权点,获批浙江省博士学位授予立项建设单位。设有作曲与作曲技术理论、音乐学、音乐表演、舞蹈学、舞蹈表演、舞蹈编导、表演、艺术与科技等8个专业,其中5个为国家级一流本科专业建设点,3个为省级一流本科专业建设点。设立作曲与指挥系、音乐学系、音乐教育学院、钢琴系、声乐歌剧系、国乐系、管弦系、流行音乐系、舞蹈学院、戏剧系、音乐工程系、人文社会科学部(马克思主义学院)等12个教学单位和附属音乐学校、继续教育学院、创业学院、国际教育学院、叔同学院。设有数字音乐智能处理技术文化和旅游部重点实验室、沉浸声文化和旅游部技术创新中心、数字音乐浙江省工程研究中心、浙江省文艺创研中心等省部级科研机构和高等音乐教育研究所、戏剧学研究所、音乐学研究所、舞蹈学研究所、艺术与文化管理高等研究院、音乐文化研究院等24个科研平台,以及乐队学院、民族乐队学院、歌剧学院、室内乐学院和合唱学院5个新型表演学科教学平台。建有室内管弦乐团、民族室内乐团等高水平职业音乐表演团体。学校与英国皇家音乐学院、皇家北方音乐学院、匈牙利李斯特音乐学院等多所国际著名院校签订校际战略合作协议,并作为主席单位成立了“中国—中东欧国家音乐院校联盟”。

Zhejiang Conservatory of Music (ZJCM) is a modern music and art university founded in the new era by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, and co-sponsored by the provincial government and Ministry of Culture & Tourism of PRC. Currently, ZJCM has 2,850 undergraduate students, 670 graduate students, and 683 faculty members, 445 of whom are full-time teachers. The campus covers an area of 602 mu (roughly 100 acres) with a total floorage of 360,000 square meters. ZJCM possesses 1 grand theater, 3 concerts, 3 theaters, 2 studio halls, 104 rehearsal halls, 935 piano rooms, 8 recording studios, 1 library, and other teaching aids and art practice venues.
ZJCM offers three first-level disciplines: Studies of Music & Dance, Art Theory, and Theatre & Film Studies, all of which have been listed as the provincial first-grade disciplines, with the Studies of Music & Dance rated as Category A (the highest). The conservatory has the right to confer master's degrees and is a professional degree authorization unit, and has been approved as a preparatory unit for offering doctoral degree programs in Zhejiang Province. Eight learning majors are offered, among which Musicology, Music Performance, Composition & Music Theory, Dance Studies, and Performance are the national first-class majors for undergraduates, while Dance Choreography, Performance, and Art & Technology are the provincial first-class majors for undergraduates. The conservatory houses 12 academic departments: Department of Composing & Conducting, Department of Musicology, Music Education Department, Department of Piano, Department of Vocal & Opera, Chinese Traditional Instruments Department, Department of Orchestra, Pop Music Department, Dance Department, Department of Drama, Department of Music Engineering, and the School of Humanities & Social Sciences. Besides, there are School of Continuing Education, School of Entrepreneurship, School of International Education, and Shutong School (school for talents of excellence). The conservatory boasts provincial and ministerial-level research institutions, including the Key Laboratory of Digital Music Intelligent Processing Technology of the Ministry of Culture & Tourism, the Technology Innovation Center of Immersive Sound Culture and Tourism, the Zhejiang Engineering Research Center of Digital Music, and the Zhejiang Literature and Arts Creation Research Center. It also features 24 university-level research platforms including Institute of Higher Education for Music, Institute of Theatre Studies, Institute of Musicology, Institute of Dance Studies, Institute for Advanced Studies in Art & Cultural Management, and Institute of Music Culture. Also, the conservatory has set up five new performance Academies: Orchestra Academy, Chinese Music Orchestra Academy, Opera Academy, Chamber Music Academy, and Choral Academy. It also boasts high-level professional music performance ensembles such as Chamber Philharmonia and Chinese Music Chamber Orchestra. ZJCM has signed strategic cooperation agreements with many internationally renowned institutions, such as Royal Academy of Music and Royal Northern College of Music in the UK, Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary, and has established the China-CEEC Music Academies Union as the chairman unit.
