Sichuan University of Science and Engineering (SUSE) is a higher education institution with more than 60 years’ history of cultivating undergraduates and about 20 years’ history of cultivating postgraduates. It has a comprehensive range of disciplines covering 9 categories, namely, engineering, science, management, education, literature, history, art, law and economy. SUSE is located in Zigong and Yibin, 2 famous historical and cultural cities of Sichuan Province.

SUSE has 3 Provincial Key Disciplines, including Chemical Technology, Pattern Recognition and Intelligent System, and Fermentation Engineering. The university has provided 8 Master Degree Programs in First-level Disciplines and 77 Undergraduate Majors. With the provincial key discipline-Fermentation Engineering-as the core, SUSE has established a group disciplines involving food and light industry. It is known by the industry as "the Cradle of Chinese Liquor Talent Cultivation" and "Whampoa Military Academy for the cultivation of high-end Chinese liquor talents". Based on Chemical Engineering and Technology, SUSE has developed a group disciplines of Chemical Engineering, Process Equipment and Control Engineering, Environmental Safety, and Materials Science and Engineering so as to support the development of the chemical industry.

Adhering to the idea of open education, SUSE actively carries out foreign exchange activities and has established cooperation and exchange relations with more than 70 foreign universities and scientific research institutions from more than 20 countries around the world. Nearly 2,000 students go abroad for exchange, internship, investigation or joint training, and nearly 100 teachers go abroad for academic exchanges and visits every year. There are two overseas Chinese Language and Culture Centers, respectively in Pakistan and Thailand. SUSE helds a Joint-Degree undergraduate program in "Visual Communication Design" with University of St. Francis in U.S.A. There are "Center for China-India-Pakistan Studies" and "Academy for International  collaboration and Exchange" in SUSE.

SUSE actively develops higher education cooperation with countries around the world to improve the level of international education. Through the participation of international students and domestic students in the learning exchange and practice of various characteristic industries college, it promotes the integration of disciplines and cultures, and comprehensively improves the cultivation of international compound talents.

四川轻化工大学是一所工学、理学、管理学、教育学、文学、历史学、艺术学、法学、经济学等九大学科协调发展的具有近六十年本科教育、近二十年研究生教育历程的普通全日制高等学校。学校坐落于两个国家历史文化名城自贡市和宜宾市。

学校秉承开放办学理念，积极开展对外交流活动，与世界上20多个国家70余所国外高校和科研机构建立了合作与交流关系，近2000名学生赴国（境）外交流学习、实习、考察或联合培养，每年近百名教师出国（境）学术交流和访学。建有2个语言文化中心。获教育部批准与美国圣弗朗西斯大学联合举办“视觉传达与设计”中外合作办学本科项目。

学校积极发展与世界各国的高等教育合作，以提高国际教育水平。提升国际化办学水平，通过国际学生与国内学生共同参与各类特色产业学院的学习交流与实践，促进了学科和文化的交融，全面提升了国际化复合型人才培养的水平。
