江西航空职业技术学院（以下简称江航职院）是经江西省人民政府批准设立的一所全日制普通高等院校。学校创建于1956年，办学历史悠久，文化底蕴深厚，是中国人民解放军定向培养士官院校、国家高技能人才培养基地、教育部“全国应用型人才培养基地”、航空工业专业技术人才培训基地、世界技能大赛飞机维修项目国家集训基地，同时也是江西省唯一一所具有航空制造企业背景的职业院校。

学校设有、航空制造学院、航空信息与控制学院、经济管理学院、计算机学院、机电与材料学院、民航学院、五年制大专学院等八个二级学院。建立了“三航一工”特色专业体系，开设专业31个，涵盖飞行器制造技术、航空设备维修、机械装备制造、通用航空技术、人工智能技术、大数据、经济管理、民航管理服务等职业门类。飞行器数字化制造技术、飞机电子设备维修、无人机应用技术、导弹维修技术是中国人民解放军定向培养士官指定专业。

学校教学设施齐全，依托航空资源办学优势，建有飞机维修、飞机模拟机舱、光机电一体化、数控仿真等42个实验实训室，建有飞机装配与调试、飞机维修与维护、航空电子设备维修、无人机调试、数控加工、模具制造等20个实训基地和1个飞机维修综合实训基地。学校实行“理实一体化”教学模式，各专业实践类课时比例占到总教学时数的50％以上。

自建校以来，学校始终以质量求发展，以特色创品牌，充分利用航空企业背景和特色鲜明的专业优势，为航空企业、部队和社会培养了数以万计的高技能人才，被誉为“航空工业高技能人才的摇篮”。自2007年至今，学校为部队培养士官生4000余名。近五年来毕业生就业率稳定在98%以上，就业质量处于全省领先地位。
