学院建筑面积24万平方米，基建投资9亿元，教学仪器设备总值1.3亿元，在校生9500余人。图书馆纸质图书46万余册。设有航海模拟实训室、轮机模拟实训室、大学生双创孵化基地、微藻饵料藻种培养实训室等专业实训室109个，建设了5个省市级工程技术研究中心、1个省级工程技术协同创新中心和3个市级创新平台，年开展新型职业农民培训、就业指导培训、基层渔业培训、创新创业培训、船员培训、基层社会服务人员培训等万余人次。
