Northwest A&F University is located in Yangling, Shaanxi Province, the birthplace of China's agricultural civilization and a national demonstration zone of agricultural high-tech industry. The university, inheriting the aspiration of Houji, the ancient god of agriculture, and "imparting modern farming knowledge to people", has substantially fulfilled the historical responsibility of developing modern agriculture. This "Agriculture and People" Chinese Bridge online group exchange program will introduce overseas students Chinese language and agricultural culture, development of Yangling’s agricultural civilization, as well as basics of Chinese lunar festivals, daily life and cuisine,etc, which help students to appreciate the long history of the agricultural civilization and the unique charm of the Loess Plateau in northwest China while learning practical Chinese.
