北航一览

北京航空航天大学（简称北航）成立于1952年，由当时的清华大学、北洋大学、厦门大学、四川大学等八所院校的航空系合并组建，是新中国第一所航空航天高等学府，现隶属于工业和信息化部。学校所在地北京，分为学院路校区、沙河校区，占地3000多亩，总建筑面积170余万平方米。建校以来，北航一直是国家重点建设的高校，是全国第一批16所重点高校之一，也是80年代恢复学位制度后全国第一批设立研究生院的22所高校之一，首批进入“211工程”，2001年进入“985工程”，2013年入选首批“2011计划”国家协同创新中心，2017年入选国家“双一流”建设高校名单。学校第十六次党员代表大会提出以建设扎根中国大地的世界一流大学为发展愿景目标。

北航以国家重大战略需求为先导，强化基础性、前瞻性和战略高技术研究，引导和支持创新要素向关键瓶颈技术汇聚、与产学研用深度融合，打造顶级创新平台和一流科研团队，科研总量不断扩大，科研经费人均位居全国高校第一。有1个国家实验室——航空科学与技术国家实验室（筹），9个国家级重点实验室，4个国家级工程研究中心，3个北京市高精尖创新中心，70余个省部级重点实验室；有8个国家自然科学基金委创新研究群体，12个教育部创新团队。学校突出自主创新，强化协同创新，积极搭建国家级创新平台，组建大团队，承担重大科研项目，重大科技成果不断涌现。建校60余年来，北航创造了40多项国内第一的科研成果，在尖端技术研究领域始终居于国内高校前列。

学校面向全球，开放交融。通过实施“UPS国际化发展战略”，构建北航国际交流合作网络和平台，形成全方位、多层次、宽领域对外开放格局，有力提升了学校的国际影响力和竞争力。先后与国外近200所著名高等院校、一流研究机构和知名跨国公司建立了长期稳定的合作关系。实施“全球校园计划”，建立高水平、特色鲜明的学生交换、联合培养、双学位、国际暑期学校项目，把北航校园延伸到世界的各个角落，让北航学子充分享受全球优质教育资源。在全球范围内吸引优秀学生，国际学生规模、生源质量、培养层次、教育水平进入全国高校前列。

Beihang at a Glance

Beihang University, established in 1952, is the first university focusing on aeronautics and astronautics in China. Since its establishment, Beihang has been supported by Chinese government; and it is one of the first group of 16 national key universities, one of the first 22 colleges and universities setting up graduate schools, one of the first batch in one hundred universities of “The 211 project”; and in 2001 it entered the list of universities of “The 985 Project”. In 2017, it was chosen to participate in the Double First-Class plan, which includes major support from Chinese Ministry of Education and other government departments to build a worldclass university with world-class disciplines.
Beihang University has been aiming at international forefront of academics, actively building top-level innovation platforms and first-class scientific research teams. In 2006, it was approved for creating National Aerospace Science and Technology Laboratory which, since then, has become Beihang’s characteristics of aeronautics and astronautics and important symbol of research university. At present, Beihang has 9 national key laboratories, 4 state-level engineering research centers, more than 70 provincial and ministerial-level key laboratories; also has 8 innovation and research groups sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China and 12 innovation teams sponsored by Ministry of Education. Over the past 60 years, Beihang has made more than 40 domestic first achievements in scientific research, and has always been at the forefront of the domestic universities in the research fields of cutting-edge technology.
Beihang University is open to the world. It has established long-term and stable relationships of cooperation with nearly 200 celebrated foreign colleges and universities, first-class research institutes and famous multinational companies. It actively develops the student exchange programs and joint degree awarding with the well-known colleges and universities all over the world.
