The Giant Panda Virtual Tour is an international Chinese online scholarship program taught by Chengdu University and the New American International Culture Corp (NAIC). To integrate Chinese culture into teaching, the authentic language materials were filmed and produced in the hometown of giant pandas. This program is aimed to improve students' Chinese proficiency and communication skills, and give American students the opportunity to experience authentic Chinese culture virtually. It adopts thematic teaching design and integrates task-based learning and experiential learning, including live and recorded lessons. The teaching themes include Chengdu cuisine, panda culture, modern cities, Sichuan opera and etc. The program includes two weeks intensive classes. The live class lasts for 70 minutes each day, 12 class hours in total. The recorded class is 40 minutes each class, 5 class hours in total.
