In order to show the charm of Tianfu, publicize the cultural soft power of two-city Economic Zone in Chengdu-Chongqing, and strengthen the systematic study of Chinese language by overseas Chinese language enthusiasts and in-depth understanding of Chinese culture, especially Bashu culture. The "Charming Tianfu" winter camp of "Chinese Bridge" online group exchange activity is sponsored by Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, guided by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and undertaken by Sichuan Normal University (SICNU). We hope that through this activity, let overseas Chinese language enthusiasts learn Chinese to understand China and appreciate the charm of Bashu culture. Since 2014, SICNU has held the Confucius Institute summer camp and the winter exchange group project for education officials in China. Up to now, we have arranged 26 exchange groups from 4 countries, which include 17 groups of visiting students, with a total of 465 participants, and 9 groups of educators/education department officials with 89 attendees each time. With years of experience organizing this project, SICNU offers a series of courses such as Chinese language courses, Chinese cultural courses and humanities lectures with the theme of "Feelings of China, Styles of Chinese language, and Rhymes of Bashu". We serve the One Belt One Road initiative and the development of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, aiming to build a bridge for friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth. According to the different levels of Chinese proficiency and learning needs of overseas students, we have designed a variety of Chinese intensive courses (general Chinese, and Chinese listening and speaking), cultural lectures and cultural experience courses, with the "Charming Tianfu" winter camp as the main body in this exchange activity of Chinese Bridge Online Group. On the basis of strengthening Chinese ability, these activities and events will allow overseas students to experience the dance of the Qiang people, E’mei martial arts, Sichuan folk music, the traditional dragon and lion dance, enjoy the comfort of Chengdu tea houses, and, of course, have a chance to see the iconic pandas of Chengdu. In order to give students a brand-new experience in Chinese class, allow them to learn through real life situations, and develop by communicating with others, this winter camp curriculum will integrate the ideas of "flipped class", "situational teaching" and "immersive teaching", which will be carried out in two forms as online live classes, as well as pre-recorded classes. This winter camp is provided by SICNU supporting high-quality teachers to carry out the teaching activities. Approximately 20 teachers from relevant professional fields both inside and outside of the campus are invited to teach Chinese, culture and Bashu humanities lectures, and 20 teaching assistants will assist in the course exploitation and teaching. The winter camp is free, and all courses can be learned on the "Chinese Bridge"，an online camp experience platform (http://bridge.chinese.cn/online/camp). The students need to submit a vlog about independent learning experience. After the courses, we will grant a certificate of completion to the students who have successfully completed all the courses. "Similar to the same way, and peers care for each other", Sichuan Normal University is willing to take the Chinese language as a bridge and cultural link to invite you to a wonderful feast of Chinese language and Chinese culture.
