山东省位于中国东部，是孔子故乡，儒家文化发源地，也是中国经济第三大省。

济南，山东省省会，素有“泉城”之称。它是国家历史文化名城，南与“世界自然文化遗产”泰山毗邻，北与被称为“中华母亲河”的黄河相依。 

济南大学是山东省人民政府和教育部共建的综合性大学，是山东省重点建设大学和首批应用型人才培养特色名校，具有学士、硕士、博士学位授予权。

济南大学有两个校区，校园占地243万平方米。学校现设23个学院，拥有3个博士后科研流动站。学科专业涵盖经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、医学、管理学、艺术学和交叉学科等11个门类。化学、材料科学、工程学等7个学科进入全球ESI前1%。

学校坚持开放式办学理念，积极扩大与国（境）外教育机构的合作与交流，通过学者互访、学术交流、合作办学等多种方式与美、英、德、法、加、澳、俄、日、韩、新等国家的120余所高校建立校际合作关系。目前，济南大学已培养来自世界70多个国家和地区的4000余名国际学生。

Jinan, the capital city of Shandong province, is also called the “city of springs”. As a national famous historical and cultural city, it adjoins Mountain Tai, a world cultural and natural heritage, and Yellow River, the Mother River of China.

University of Jinan is a key and comprehensive university in Shandong Province with a history of 75 years. It is entitled a distinctive institution of higher learning which is committed to cultivating applied-talented students. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs and enjoys the right to recommend postgraduates exempting admission examinations.

University of Jinan has two campuses, covering an area of over 2.43 million square meters. It has 23 schools, and 3 post-doctoral research center. There are eleven kinds of major specialties, namely Economics, Law, Education, Literature, History, Science, Technology, Management, Art and Interdiscipline. Seven disciplines, such as Chemistry and Material Science, are taken into the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database, ranking in the top 1%.

University of Jinan has promoted policies of opening-up and internationalization. It has established international cooperative relationships with 120 international counterparts in countries including the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, etc. Up till now, more than 4000 international students have graduated from the university.
