Based on the rich educational resources of Chongqing Jihua Middle School and the unique charm of Bayu culture, the Chinese Bridge Camp will offer both practical and enlightening courses and activities for campers according to their actual conditions. The curriculum is divided into three chapters. They are respectively “A Journey of Culture”, A Journey of Experience and “A Journey of Discovery”, in which highlights the characteristics of knowledge, interest, practice and integration. Firstly, we will set up general educational courses, such as “Flipped Chinese”, “Classical Poetry Recitation”, “Geography about Tourism” and “History in the Form of Comics”. We will pay special attention to the foundation of the Chinese language and highlight the charm of the Chinese language to enhance the interest of Chinese learning. In this way, we can enhance the interest and ability of overseas Chinese youth in Chinese learning and start a journey of Chinese culture for them. Secondly, integrated courses of traditional Chinese culture and art will be presented. The art appreciation and experience courses will be offered, including “The Dynamic Tai Chi”, “Chinese Poetry and Painting” Calligraphy, “Historical Chinese Characters”Paper Cutting Art , “Yuan Elf” Folk Music, “Animal World”Knitting, “Image of Stone” Woodcut Printing and Rongchang Pottery. Thirdly, we will organize a journey of culture, namely “Discovering Chongqing”, in which the cultural visits, photography and on-site introduction are displayed. We will lead the youth from overseas to have a taste of the life in Chongqing, to enjoy the culture of ancient BaYu. In this program, overseas campers would start their journey of discovery by being led to visit Garden Expo Park, Dazu Stone Carving, Chongqing People's Hall, Chongqing Planning Museum, Three Gorges Museum, Chaotianmen Square, Chongqing Zoo, Hongya Cave and other historical relics or modern civilization achievements through live broadcasting. In this chapter, they are able to experience the development of Chongqing and its rich local customs, to know China through Chongqing and to feel the great changes of China.
