中国石油大学（华东），成立于1953年，是中国教育部直属全国重点大学。学校有16个教学院部，学科覆盖工学、理学、法学、教育学、文学、管理学等领域。设有博士专业26个，硕士专业34个，本科专业59个。工程学、化学、材料科学、地球科学、计算机科学、环境与生态学、社会科学总论等7个学科领域进入ESI全球学科排名前1%，其中工程学进入ESI全球学科排名前1‰。毕业生就业率连续27年保持在90%以上。世界500强企业CEO母校排名我校居全球第35位。

Founded in 1953, China University of Petroleum (UPC) is a national key university directly affiliated to the Ministry of Education. UPC has 16 colleges and schools covering disciplines of Engineering, Science, Law, Education, Art, Management, etc. There are 26 doctoral programs, 34 master’s programs and 59 undergraduate programs in UPC. Seven disciplines, including Engineering, Chemistry, Material science, Earth Science, Computer Science, Environment and Ecology, and Studies in Social Sciences are ranked in the top 1% of ESI global disciplines, and Engineering is ranked in the top 1‰ of ESI global disciplines. UPC employment rate has remained above 90% for 27 consecutive years, and UPC is among top 35 with the number of CEOs in Fortune Global 500 by Times Higher Education.

UPC is located in the charming seaside city of Qingdao. There are full-time students including around 18,900 undergraduate students, 9400 postgraduate students and 970 international students. UPC full time faculty consists of 1700 Teaching faculty, among them, there are more than 1100 professors and associate professors, including 329 doctoral supervisors. UPC actively carries out international academic and cultural exchanges with more than 200 higher education and research institutions from 45 countries.
