Student enrollment for the Hebei Normal University Chinese Bridge Peru Online Exchange Program is handled by the College of International Cultural Exchange of our school and the Confucius Institute at the University of Ricardo Palma in Peru. It is estimated that about 60 Peruvian students will be enrolled. At the early stage of the project, we researched to learn the needs of the students of our Confucius Institute partners. Also, to address their low proficiency in Chinese and English, we deployed a Spanish translator. Teachers with rich international teaching experience and a solid theoretical foundation form the project team. They organize, lecture, and ensure the quality of education. Based on the Peruvian students' situation, this online project will start on January 21, 2021, after the exam week, and last for seven days. During this period, there will be three sections: online language teaching, real-time online interaction, and video course learning. There will be Spanish translators in every class to help students understand the course content. The courses align closely with the development of the Chinese era. It combines the local characteristics of Shijiazhuang from the perspectives of Consumption, Transportation, Environmental protection, Health, etc. We divided the course into seven sections. They are Life Convenience (1 and 2), Chinese travels, Beautiful Sceneries are better than gold and silver mountains, Chinese medicine and Good health, The Local Milk source a visual freshness, and the new face of the ancient city. The courses are rich in content, lively, and entertaining. I believe it will be a splendid learning experience for the students far away in Peru. And I believe it will help the students improve their Chinese proficiency level.
