The summer camp uses Discover Shanghai made by Office of Confucius Institutes at SISU as its teaching material. This material focuses on improving students’ communicative skill as well as their reading and writing skills. Recorded courses are all based on real-life scenarios in Shanghai, stressing both Chinese language and culture. Cultural lectures and salons will systematically present contemporary Chinese culture. Discussions will also be held so that students can share their own opinions and thus deepen their understandings about traditional and modern China.
