Tianjin Foreign Studies University Library is enthusiastic for teaching overseas students Chinese language and sharing their expertise in ancient books. The interactive workshop will focus not only on language learning, but as well reflect on the early history of Chinese books, paintings, modern digitalization and preservations. This workshop is anticipated to offer participants book related cultural celebrations including China’s early literal interactions with the West.
天津外国语大学图书馆依托学校外语专业优势和深厚文化底蕴，多年来将大量珍贵文献纳入馆藏。2万余册古籍特藏文献，涵盖中、英、法、俄、德、日等多个语种，被视为图书馆的镇馆之宝。“中文古籍保护”线上项目旨在以书会友，向各国青少年讲授中国古代书籍的发展历史、古籍修复技艺、语言文化知识，以此增进中外文化交流和了解。课程还包括介绍一些早期来华西方学者的中国文化经典译本。
