兰州大学创建于1909年,是中国近代高等教育建校最早的高校之一,为中国教育部直属的重点综合性大学,是国家“985工程”和“211工程”重点建设高校之一,也是“双一流”建设高校之一。目前已有13个学科进入ESI全球前1%,化学学科进入前1‰
至今为止,学校累计招收培养留学生3000余人。目前在校留学生900余人,来自五大洲68个国家,学历生占80%,学校分别在乌兹别克斯坦、哈萨克斯坦、格鲁吉亚建有3所孔子学院。
Founded in 1909, Lanzhou University (LZU) is one of the first universities in China's modern higher education. As the national comprehensive university under the direct authority of the Ministry of Education, LZU is one of the universities supported by the "Project 985" and “Project 211”,and one of the national “Double First-Class” construction universities. Currently,a total of 13 disciplines has entered the top 1% of ESI,among which the chemistry reaches the top 1‰.
So far, LZU has recruited and educated more than 3,000 international students. Currently, there are more than 900 international students from 68 countries on five continents study at Lanzhou University, within which 80% are students studying undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral programs. LZU has jointly established 3 Confucius institutes respectively in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Georgia.
