China is one of the four ancient civilizations, and more than 5,000 years history has witnessed the formation and development of many traditional festivals. Chinese traditional festivals are an important part of the long history and culture of the Chinese nation, with various forms and rich contents. The traditional festivals of the Chinese nation contain profound and rich cultural connotations. This course mainly introduces the following seven traditional Chinese festivals: The Spring Festival (the first day of the first lunar month); The Lantern Festival (the fifteenth day of the first lunar month); The Qingming Festival (one day from April 4 to 6 in the Gregorian calendar); The Dragon Boat Festival (the fifth day of the fifth lunar month) ; The Qixi Festival (the seventh day of the seventh lunar month); The Mid-Autumn Festival (the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar); The Chongyang Festival (the ninth day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar), etc.
