Changchun University of Chinese Medicine was founded in 1958 and is a key university in Jilin Province. It provides undergraduate education, master's and doctoral education. Jilin Provincial Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine has a school history hall and six exhibition halls, namely the Exhibition Hall of Northern Medicine, the Exhibition Hall of Animal Medicine, the Exhibition Hall of Ginseng Exhibition, the Exhibition Hall of Traditional Chinese Medicine Experience, the Exhibition Hall of General History of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Exhibition Hall of Local Medicine Characteristics, which collects and displays 2135 pieces of traditional Chinese medicine cultural relics and nearly 10,000 copies of traditional Chinese medicine specimens. Jilin Ginseng Science Research Institute has 7 centers, such as the Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Development Center, and 11 laboratories of the Changbai Mountain Geo-Resources Development Laboratory, which is a specialized ginseng research institution with certain influence in China.
