As the world’s famous giant panda conservation base including scientific research and breeding, public education and tourism, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, covering an area of about 247 acres, is 10 kilometers from downtown Chengdu. The Base is famous for the protection and breeding of endangered wild animals that are unique to China. There are over 80 giant pandas and red pandas in the Base. It is honored as “the national treasure’s natural paradise” for its beautiful environment. In the course of “Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding”, we will follow the teachers to visit Giant Panda Statue, Moonlight Nursery House for Giant Pandas, No.2 Red Panda Playground, Panda Scientific Discovery Center and other venues, to learn about the daily life of pandas, pandas’ eating habits, as well as the knowledge of panda breeding, so as to encourage students to pay more attention to the protection of endangered animals, protect the natural environment, and care for our earth.
